Layout is clear and mid-navigation you can jump to an overview map instead of just a list of instructions (something Apple maps doesn’t do). My only gripe is that the on-screen speed limit display is hidden under the Carplay menu on the right. Please fix this! ### 4/5 — Apple CarPlay *2026-06-22, version 15.5.0* This is my go-to app for route planning and when I'm the navigator. Please make it compatible with Apple CarPlay, not having this interface seriously limits its usefulness. Also, is there a way to get rid of adverts? This should be an option, even if paid for. Loss of that renders this almost pointless. Version 14.14.1 has bought back ‘discovery’ as a route suggestion, but you can’t ask for a scenic route to be generated. ### 2/5 — Not working well *2025-04-21, version 14.14.1* Just like YorkshireJumbo I had used the web version previously and it was very good. However, both the app and the current web version are very poor. Whilst you can get a route identified on the web version, it does not allow you to save this. The app is even worse! It would not allow me to enter an itinerary at all, even though I had logged in! Michelin: get the app and web version sorted! ### 3/5 — Navigation verbesserungsbedürftig *2025-04-14* Eigentlich eine gute App was Bedienung und Funktionsumfang betrifft. Allerdings sind die Staumeldungen sehr unzuverlässig. Mal sind sie alle da und man wird zuverlässig um den Stau in der Stadt herum geführt und am nächsten Tag ist angeblich alles frei und man steht ein paar Minuten später mitten drin. Ruft man dann schnell Apple Maps oder google auf, sieht man den Stau auf der Route. Das ist extrem frustrierend und dafür 1 Stern Abzug. 2. Stern Abzug gibt’s für die zum Teil völlig veraltete Verkehrsführung an manchen Stellen. Ein Beispiel: Vor ungefähr 4 Jahren wurde eine Zufahrt zu einer Hauptstraße so umgebaut. Daß man nur noch in Fahrtrichtung auf die Straße fahren kann. Viamichelin möchte noch jedesmal dort entgegen der Fahrtrichtung abbiegen lassen… was natürlich nicht geht, da dort in der Mitte der Fahrbahn eine Abgrenzung ist. It worked well then and we used it frequently. I thought I’d try it as an app, but it was soooo painful to use. Setting up required going to the website. Then I tried entering our details, but it didn’t have our car - after all it’s only been available for 3 years! The route planning was useful and eventually gave good information after I’d input our route across France. But I went to check an address on another app and all my work had disappeared! It forced me to start again from scratch!! It might have good information, but the app is so user-hostile that I can’t see myself ever using it again. Such a shame! ### 3/5 — Why not add Motorhomes *2024-11-04, version 14.10.1* Great app to plan a route, but my issue is I can’t add the correct vehicle, i.e Fiat Ducato 2019, rather than just an older model up to 2006. or that it is a motor home, or for eks. your average milage consumption. I own a 2023 BMW and the model is not even an option. It only allows to select a year 2013-2016. I appreciate that this is just, simple. (I also appreciate that it is not google maps) It lets me toggle on and off what I want to see, calculates gas estimates. It’s no frills gets me from point A to B like a good old paper map used to do. In a world over saturated with too much noise, too much clutter, too much tracking and data selling- this is on point. My retro, analog heart was pleased. ### 5/5 — Detaillierte Maut Aufschlüsselung *2026-07-24* Berechnet die voraussichtlichen Maut Kosten. Das Feature fehlt in Google Maps/ Apple Maps/ Volkswagen Navi komplett, da steht nur dass Kosten anfallen. Waze nennt die Summe, aber ViaMichelin schlüsselt detailliert auf. Heute bin ich die Südroute gefahren an Milano vorbei, um vom Lago Maggiore zum Montblanc zu kommen. Navi hatte das so empfohlen um 30min. Stau auf der Schweizer Route zu vermeiden. Was er mir nicht gesagt hat: da kommt 100€ obendrauf für Mt. Blanc Tunnel und die Mautstrecken in Italien.
