I was looking forward to seeing what Soultime put together because their flagship app is great. Because it was actually so much better! ### 1/5 — Demands too much private data *2022-06-21* I don't doubt the devs good intentions, but there is privileged information in my contact list, people who would not want their information shared. I know I wouldn't want anyone that has me in their phone sharing all of my data with anyone else without my approval. I hate to have to review this negatively, but this apps MANDATORY demand that I upload my full list of contacts makes it unusable for me. I get that this is a social network / communication app, which the dev is quick to reply to negative reviews, but even the most intrusive social networks don't demand that you upload all contacts or leave. My assumption is that the app allows communications with others not in your contacts and is more than a messaging app, so why are all of my contacts required? Really, what is causing the need for all of the contacts on my phone? Thank you Matt ### 1/5 — Verification code *2021-05-26, version 1.4.0* I am unable to get the verification code! It’s just isn’t sending to my phone number. It is a Nigerian phone number. Is that the reason? ### 1/5 — It won’t let me sign up. *2021-03-23, version 1.3.0* In order to sign up you need to add your phone number. I keep repeatedly pressing the area to add my phone number and the app isn’t working. ### 1/5 — Not cool! *2021-03-23* App forces you to upload all your contacts and then refuses to let you delete your information and just has you enter your information repeatedly so you can’t delete. Won’t let you upload pictures or anything this app wasn’t what I was expecting and I just want it gone! **Developer response:** We are sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you, Matt. ### 1/5 — Forces you to upload your contacts!! *2021-03-21, version 1.3.0* Won't let you use the app unless you let them upload ALL your contact phone numbers from your address book !!! This is the message they give you: "To connect you with your friends we need a small amount of information. ChatPray needs to upload just your anonymized contact phone numbers no names to our servers. This allows us to connect you with your friends." It's DISGUSTING !!! It should be up to ME if I want to connect to my friends or not. Don't force people! Unable to use App *2021-02-05* Similarly to others. The first step of even getting into the app in order to be able to use it...not working. The “code” was never sent to me (tried multiple times having the “code resend”) hence I’m unable to use the app. The Developers response made me switch it from 2 stars to 1 star as yes, the issue still continues. I am not receiving the text message with “code” hence I cannot even enter into the App hence I cannot use the “Contact Us” feature that’s available ‘inside’ of the app. **Developer response:** We are sorry for the inconvenience.
