## What is Vicinto?

Find somewhere to play, today.

Vicinto maps the basketball, soccer, tennis and pickleball courts of Greater Los Angeles, public and private: Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire and Ventura County. That is 3,088 parks, rec centers, schools and facilities, with 5,599 basketball courts, 1,476 soccer fields, 4,836 tennis courts and 1,989 pickleball courts. Open a park and see how many courts it has, whether they are lit, when they are open and how to reserve one. Tap a court for an illustrated view of exactly what is there.

See the games near you. Pickup games and tournaments are posted by players and local organizers. Most are free. Pick a sport and a skill level, see how many spots are left, and join.

Post your own. Choose a court, a time and a number of spots. Hosts can charge for a game or a tournament and get paid out through Stripe. The price you see on a paid game or entry is the price you pay: it already includes the service fee, and nothing is added at checkout.

Say you are there. Check in at a court so people know a game is on, save your home courts, and report a missing net or a locked gate so the next player knows.

Available in Greater Los Angeles. More cities on the way.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0.6 — 2026-10-07

Vicinto now covers Greater Los Angeles: Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire and Ventura County. 3,088 places to play on one map.

- More map: 5,599 basketball courts, 1,476 soccer fields, 4,836 tennis courts and 1,989 pickleball courts
- See yourself on the map: a blue dot shows where you are, and only you can see it
- Every listing shows its own city, and you can zoom out to see the whole region
- Prices are all-in: the price on a paid game or entry is the price you pay
- A new opening: a short tour, then pick where you play and your sports
- Phone sign-in is fixed, and you can now sign in with email in the app
- Game and tournament times always read in Pacific time

### 2.0.0 — 2026-10-01

Vicinto is now a fully native iPhone app.

The map is faster and smoother, and pins stay locked in place as you move around.
Bars, clubs, lounges and live music venues are now on the map, each with its own page: photos, hours and what's on.
Search venues, events and people from the top of the map.
Hosting is rebuilt: create and edit events, sell tickets and set up payouts in the app.
Group chats and channels are rebuilt natively.

### 1.6 — 2026-09-05

The app now opens straight into the map. No more white flash on launch.

Getting a ticket happens inside Vicinto now, with Apple Pay, instead of sending you out to a browser page. Your ticket confirmation lands the moment the payment clears.

Also in this update: a clearer sign-in screen with a back button and a password toggle, mute controls that actually work in group and event chats, and a long list of smaller fixes.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-25

Vicinto got a full glow-up.

• New look: dark, fast and smooth, with our new vicinto wordmark everywhere.
• Sell at the door: take a card, cash or let them scan — the pass is texted or emailed instantly. No account needed to buy.
• Phone-number sign-in right inside checkout.
• Channels: follow your favorite hosts and get their parties the moment they post.
• Ticket tiers (Pre-sale / GA / VIP), waitlists, and a rebuilt entry pass with Apple Wallet.
• Big speed and security upgrades under the hood.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-11

Dark mode, a calmer map, and event promotion.

• Dark mode: Vicinto now follows your iPhone's appearance setting.
• Cleaner map: when lots of people are in the same block, their pins group into a single tap-to-expand marker instead of covering the street.
• The map remembers where you were, so coming back from a profile or event returns you to the same view.
• Promote your event: hosts can now buy a Boost or a Sponsor slot to reach more people nearby.
• Bigger event photos, smoother loading, and a standard recenter button.
• Fixed a bug where the map could load without its colors, and one where pins disappeared after browsing another city.
