Terrible app. ### 3/5 — Does the job *2025-09-16, version 1.251.0* Does the job, but could use some improvements. Clicking explore twice should not open up the resort selector, should be set somewhere else. Would be nice to be able to change the currency to USD for the menus. Would be nice to be able to reserve more stuff on the app or view more events. I do like the filtering options. ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2024-04-28, version 1.243.0* Map on the app is not great. Can only zoom in so much and does not rotate at all making it a bit difficult to navigate the resort. Nothing on the app showing the tram routes or which ones to use to get places. Could use a better filter for locating food/what’s open when ( certain restaurants closed certain days but don’t know until you click on the restaurant itself). Also not all restaurants have the menu on the app. ### 2/5 — Ugh, as bad as ever! *2024-03-18, version 1.237.1* I tried the very first version of this app years and years ago, before most people even bothere with apps for this kind of thing. It was horrible, and so is this one: massively drains your battery, constantly uses location in the background for no reason, and spams you with notifications that are 100% irrelevant to your current activity or even your whole visit. And now, the new dining menus added are AWFUL. You can only see a couple of menu items at a time, and have to flip between different pages back and forth. Since printed menus are no longer offered on property, app menus are the only option and they are implemented in a very poorly-considered manner with awful design. It’s very hard to set up shared dining for a large group by scanning across several pages, scrolling up and down, all trying to figure out what goes with what. Then you have to memorize it all, because there’s no menu to point at for reference while you order!! The app’s map of the property is perpetually out of date and has very little information. It’s barely functional at all, like they wanted to have a map but had no idea what people would use a map for. Meanwhile there is no *functionality* to the app. I can barely reserve restaurants — it’s just an OpenTable browser on a small screen — but I can’t find one that’s open, or filter out all the tiny snack bars and pool bars. I can’t boop a button and get my concierge; I can’t get directions around the large property; I can’t let the bell know I need something without calling on the land line; I can’t see the housekeeping schedule, or see what floor the concierge desk is open, or make the app DO ANYTHING. It’s basically just the regular bad Vidanta web site, except it drains your battery and spams you. ### 2/5 — App is disappointing; Resorts are nice *2024-01-12, version 1.237.1* App states other locations will be added. They have not. App is too generic to be if much use. More importantly, it is several years behind the state of the resort, at least at Nuevo Vallarta. There has been significant development on the property that isn’t reflected in the app. Overall, a waste of space. ### 1/5 — Decepcionado *2023-07-02, version 1.237.0* Estacionamiento con pago obligatorio y no te avisan, obviamente no se hacen responsables de posible daño Muchísima Pérdida de tiempo en el traslado interno de la habitación a la alberca o playa etcétera En la factura NO te avisan y te cargan un Donativo para su fundación… se pasaron con esto. Carísimo se pesan esta pensado en que compres membresía para tener un descuento en consumo interno 0 oferta de entretenimiento, sólo kermes un día a la semana llevando un mariachi un rato OJO La amabilidad del personal es INCREÍBLE Es lo mejor su gente Políticas malas por ejemplo Cierran los restaurantes a las 11:00 y no hay bar o restaurante 24 horas solo Room Service No vuelvo ni gratis ### 2/5 — Property share sales are deceiving *2023-06-25, version 1.237.0* We thought we had purchased a one bedroom but to this company based on their fine print, that’s a studio. They can’t be honest to their customers, they will only create a bad name for themselves. Very nice property, hotel staff are very nice but sales personnel are selfish sharks. Well, my bad. I just hadn’t read the screen. Press the walking icon and away you go. It helps give you a feel for the entire resort and makes locating a restaurant a snap. Thanks. Aside from that all the menus and activities are listed and easily accessible. Me indicó uno de los empleados de mala gana(porque el servicio ya no estaban como hace años,ahora tienes suerte si los empleados te saludan) que las actividades mostradas en la aplicación no coinciden con el programa de actividades de ellos. Google maps and the Bon app both showed my location accurately. You can see price ranges, each menu, and make reservations. Way better than carrying around a paper map or wondering if the bar across the pool has better options. It appears a previous version of the app must not have worked well, tanking its App Store rating. And the resort did not promote its use, perhaps for that reason. Si tienes un buen servicio vas a tener una buena Abitacion lujosa limpia y cómoda. Las comidas las mejores que e comido en los resort. La limpieza y las bebidas originales. Nada de clónadas. Load it before you arrive so you can plan your holiday from the moment you arrive. It makes navigating the huge Riviera Maya resort much simpler. The directions and gps directed walking maps are essential for quick navigation around this huge property in a jungle setting. The pathways between the various lodging facilities and transportation network are an enjoyable maze however they do take some getting use to. The restaurant descriptions and store hours are very helpful! That said, the maps are low res without much detail which is ok because the buildings are marked pretty well and there is plenty of staff to direct you.
