Videmus scans QR and barcodes in a flash – ad-free, no account, entirely on your device. No full-screen ad after every scan, no tracking, no forced cloud. Videmus recognizes instantly, shows the result, and connects you to Wi-Fi networks with a single tap. SCANNING • QR codes and all common barcodes (EAN, Code 128, Data Matrix, Aztec …) • Wi-Fi 1-tap connect: scan SSID + password, connect right away • Scan from photos: a QR from a screenshot or your library • Zoom by pinch or slider, automatic lens switching • Several codes in view? You choose which one you mean UNDERSTANDING THE CONTENT Videmus breaks the code into labelled fields instead of one long string: retail and logistics codes (GS1, Digital Link), payment codes worldwide, boarding passes, rail tickets and driving licences. DHL and UPS shipments can be tracked directly. OPEN IT WHEREVER YOU LIKE Next to the open button sits a menu with the alternatives you have installed – browsers, map apps, wallets. You add your own app by pasting a link from it. CREATING CODES Every type has a form with named fields: link, text, Wi-Fi, contact, event, place, payment – or a type you define yourself. Colours, logo, background and frame shape the code; Videmus then scans it back itself and warns you when it is no longer reliably readable. SHARE, SAVE, PRINT Save to Photos, share and print – all natively through the iOS share sheet. As PNG, and for QR codes also as vector PDF. HISTORY Searchable, with favourites and an optional Face ID lock. Backup to your private iCloud, can be turned off anytime. PRIVACY Everything happens on-device. FREE Videmus is free and ad-free. ## Version history (last 3 releases) ### 2.1 — 2026-08-12 Videmus now reads not just the code, but what is inside it. CONTENT BROKEN DOWN Scanned codes are split into labelled fields: retail and logistics codes (GS1, including Digital Link), payment codes worldwide (the basis of PIX, PromptPay, QRIS, DuitNow and VietQR), boarding passes, rail tickets and North American driver licences. Codes from unknown issuers are still shown clearly whenever their notation follows a common convention. CREATING IS A FORM Every type now has named fields with examples instead of one single input box. “Done” creates the code and opens it right away. PLACES AND CONTACTS WITHOUT TYPING Search for a place on the map, paste from Apple and Google Maps, or use your current location. Pick phone numbers and contact cards straight from your address book. NEW: EVENTS Create and scan calendar events as a code. STYLE STAYS WITH THE ENTRY The preview shows exactly what gets exported: same border, same surface. Border width is adjustable. FIXED Amounts in a foreign currency were shown with the wrong currency symbol. Buttons now respond no matter how long you press. History search also finds format names such as “EAN”. 2FA keys and Wi-Fi passwords stay hidden until you reveal them. SEVERAL CODES IN VIEW When two codes are visible at once, the app asks which one you mean instead of guessing. STYLE IS CHECKED BACK Videmus scans the finished code itself and warns you when colour or background make it unreadable. “Use standard” restores the version that gets read everywhere with one tap. Everything still runs entirely on your device: no ads, no tracking, no account. ### 2.0 — 2026-07-19 Videmus 2.0 – the big update since version 1.0. • Product info on barcode scans: name, brand, image, Nutri-Score, ingredients and nutrition facts from the open Facts databases.
