Image generation is locked to 1:1, it doesn't matter how many times you select a different aspect ratio it will never actually update and we'll always generate 1:1. this is table stakes configuration unacceptable for any product that actually costs money ### 2/5 — It’s nice. update, I can’t *2026-01-05, version 3.92* ( I LIKE TO RAMBLE ) It cooperates and makes smooth edits but, it sometimes feels like it’s demanding me to subscribe every time I open my edit, Which means I can’t have real songs unless it is an animation of my own, but other than that, it is an amazing app and I am inspired to keep going. :) Update, you need to pay to make more that two edits and it is sad because I want to make more without paying money, I deleted the app because of the pop ups, the confusion, and the fail to physically make more edits with a fee maybe that big. Yes, some of the production team need money to keep the motivation, I get it, but ONLY TWO EDITS? YES! *2025-12-05, version 3.92* I’ve tried CapCut, Descript, Splice, Final Cut on desktop and tablet, iMovie, etc. and captioning inside apps like TT and IG. Riveo’s captioning is SO intuitive and easy — and accurate! What is this sorcery? I was prepared to settle in for a much longer captioning/correction session for a 3 minute video . . and I was done way before I expected to be. THANK YOU! I got this app through my SetApp subscription and now I’m excited to see what other cool things are in here! ### 5/5 — My super long review + 2 bugs *2025-12-04, version 3.92* Do people ever think about oh I remember that one time I left a really entitled review on somebody's app and I bartered with them stars for icons .. or it wasn't free enough ... The amount of stuff this app can do is ridiculous for something on an iPad. I thought I was good at editing. IMOVIE lol. My teenager always complains that editing apps suck, so when this one went free, I claimed it on his account too. Normally he never touches the free apps I grab. This one? Hours later he comes to me saying: “This app is f..GOATED!” I’m like, what is happening, is it that good? He runs off again to keep learning. Leaves me with goated. And fomo. He’s shown me videos he’s made, and I didn’t even know an app could do these things. In one Minecraft video, he eats berries and throws a spear. I told him it would be hilarious if the berries got spit out instead of the spear. He actually edited that in..berries flying out, hitting the water, and sinking to the bottom. At that point I told him he has to teach me how to use this app. I’m slowly learning, the app does have tutorials but, there's so much stuff I can't remember at all. I have 250 coins. I asked him about needing a coin to add a censored image over someone’s mouth.. He says he gets rewarded with coins based on if he keeps using the app and editing in it. He says like ' if i edit a 2hr video i get rewarded coins, and get them monthly too bc pro." I dont think any of that is true bc he currenlty has 160. I hope they add more stock images. (Yes theres stock images) I was specifically looking for a censored logo. I can grab one off Google, cut it for a coin, and overlay it though. My son adds screen shake where it would be cool in Minecraft videos , vertigo effects looking over ledges, fire, pugs.. It blows my mind that people are giving it one star over an icon... like have they opened the app and used it or is it just the cool icon they have it for lol. If you want editing like this for free, get a PC. Still u might not get what u want for free.. adobe cloud ect costs a lot a month... If you want it on an iPad, it’s $149 lifetime. I only have it because I claimed it during the free period, and honestly I wouldn’t even know this app existed otherwise. I’m guessing they made it free temporarily so people who claimed it would review it. here I am. Now that i have things to say and exp. This app deserves way more attention than it gets. It’s insane what it can do. My son says it has everything-is the easiest to use- and wants to report 2 bugs lol. 1- if you screen shot an image, ( for example - a pug with butterflies around it) and you dont wnat the butterflies so you crop it. When you load it into the app "it force loads the butterflies you cropped out and now you have to keep zooming until you zoom into the pug just right to get the butterfly's out" so bug 2- is the zooming- when you zoom into things, you have to do it over and over because it resets/zooms out-you cant make adjustments, you have to do it right the first try. But opening up the app, I can’t find that option anywhere. That feels like a baiting switch to me. I am so freaking tired of all these companies going only subscription to charge me for some AI stuff when I have an M4 Max that I could do all the AI stuff locally if I wanted to. The developer said that subtitle generation requires resources. I accidentally used a pro feature when download my video, so I pressed cancel but it still took my 200 AI coins anyway! Now I can’t use the pro feature and I have no AI coins!!!😡😡😡😤😤 ### 1/5 — Help *2025-02-07* My niece subscribed to the app without my knowing . I was charged for yearly subscription. The money was taken out of our rent money and things are already hard rn . I tried canceling and refunding same day . The other apps she had subscribed to accepted the cancellation and refund, but this app did not. I’m only posting this review in hopes that maybe the creator of the app would have a heart and refund me I really sincerely have no use for a years worth of this app and currently with my sister in the hospital and my niece living with me $50 would be helpful and a lot of other places rather than an app that I’m not going to use. This is in no way and attack on the app itself. I’m sure that it’s a great app as the rest of the reviews seem that way. Just really frustrated and hoping that I can maybe get some help from the creator on this.. But what’s great is it lets you go so in depth but makes it easy to use and understand. But with that being said the one thing that sucks is it always starts to freeze up and break down when I use a lot of effects and overlays. I’m lucky if I can get a video to be 5 mins long without it starting to break down. I get scared that I’m going to lose all my work because it starts to not let me access my edits and I have to restart the app and shut down my IPad.
