Video Inspection Pro is an app designed to allow contractors to connect with licensed inspectors using their smartphones. The contractor adds the job with information such as the address, the type of inspection needed, and the permit number. Once the contractor is ready, they can request an inspection. The inspection request is placed in a queue and the next available ICI or jurisdiction inspector will conduct the inspection through a video conference. During the inspection, the inspector will direct the contractor to show all critical items required by the building code to confirm that the work was done properly. When the inspection is completed, the inspector sends an image to the phone showing the results of the inspection along with essential details and notes. The contractor uses a Bluetooth printer for the results and attaches the results to the permit board. Once the inspector confirms visually that the results are on the permit board, the inspector ends the inspection and notifies the jurisdiction of the results. Contractors benefit by not having to schedule inspections in advance. Contractors also do not need to spend extra time and gas returning to the job site later. Inspectors benefit by being able to complete more inspections since there is no travel time. Every time I call in inspections and receive the “tap to start inspection” notification it does nothing. Having to always call support and get kicked out of the queue and start over. Even with WiFi the connection can never establish on the first time. Please update and fix this. ### 1/5 — Long wait time *2025-09-22* I’m on hour 2 of waiting for them to answer. ### 2/5 — Works good with iPhone but horrible with Samsung *2025-06-06* Good app just needs to fix whatever problem it has with Samsung devices. When performing an inspection with an apple device, I have no problem. When performing an inspection with a Samsung device, it never establishes connection with an inspector, never lets me know I am in queue or sends me notifications on the inspector being ready. Had multiple problems with different jobs when using a Samsung device. It is annoying and I shouldn’t have to find someone with an Apple device just to be able to use the app without a problem. ### 1/5 — UPDATE *2025-05-30* This app is awful.
