The camera works great but can’t see what it records.

This application looks 3rd party and didn’t have any certificates !! 
And even more you can’t proceed without giving acces of photos to the application! 
So after giving acces of your gallery it can steal any of your photo or video without your concern!! So be aware and provide access to selected photos only
