This is really, really phenomenal. I searched for “video OCR” on the App Store, not expecting to find anything, but I found this app, and it works really, really well!!

I use it for extracting burned-in/open captions, like if I need to make a transcript, if I want to upload those captions as closed captions, if I want to make a translated version, etc.

This app has multiple format options. It also has the ability to extract with a little timestamp in the bottom corner of the exported PDF. There is one small issue I’m having- the bottom half of the numbers in the timestamps is getting cut off. However, I still can make out what almost all of the numbers are.
