After downloading the latest issue, I get a message that says I need to update the app for this issue. I can't! Paid for it, but I can't read it. Cancelling my subscription until these kinds of issues are resolved. Tried I read first magazine only to get a message stating upgrade to app needed to read. No upgrade available on app store. Finally (one week later) the upgrade is available. I just now battled and battled to get out of an ad - just kept taking me to a website, and the "done" button would disappear the moment I'd touch it without leaving the website. Costs twice as much as the other magazines I subscribe to, and with this much aggravation and very little content. The cover story of the issue I downloaded ISN'T EVEN IN THE MAGAZINE. You can get it sent to you, if you sign up for email. You've got to be kidding! The iPad interface is not good. Hopefully a work in progress Edit: it gets worse this months edition keeps crashing !! ### 4/5 — Great mag; needs better digital controls *2012-04-09* I've been reading this magazine for quite a few years. Content varies, but it's generally fair to very good. It's especially helpful for novices. I like the introduction of new equipment in each issue, although the reviews are anywhere from marginal to good (i.e., the reviews, not the equipment). In some cases, they've apparently had to settle for less-than-stellar reviewers. Regardless, you'll like the mag. My only real complaint is the poor implementation of the digital controls associated with the digital magazine. Fortunately, the company is much more adept at video than they are at creating digital content. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Too buggy *2019-04-07* While I like the magazine it’s incredibly frustrating to not be able to see the latest issue that you subscribed for! This has actually happened on numerous occasions and updates that promise ‘bug fixes’ seem to not address this at all. I’m not a review writer but I find this to be disgusting and had to finally say something about it, and I see other users feel the same. ### 1/5 — Cannot see the latest issue *2019-04-06* I have been using the App but recently, it has stopped showing the latest issue so I’m unable to download even though I have an active subscription. It seems that every time there is a new issue I have to update my app to view it. I just went to App Store and they tell me it is up to date. It still won't complete upload. Every time I do update, I have to re-download all my issues. Now I can't do that because December is still downloading.
