## What is VidKeep?

Your favorite video, still there when you need it.

A saved link can stop working when the original is removed. Download available videos from TikTok, YouTube, Xiaohongshu and other supported sources to your phone. Completed downloads play offline even if the original disappears, while local files remain.

SAVE A LOCAL COPY
Copy a video's share link and tap Paste in VidKeep, or choose VidKeep in the system share sheet. Saving a link alone does not save the video file: wait for the download to finish. YouTube supports up to 1080p. See Supported Sources for quality and transfer limits. Import your own videos from Photos or Files too.

Xiaohongshu supports public video posts, not photo posts or live streams. Saved Douyin photo posts support zoom, reading progress and original-picture export.

CHOOSE COLLECTION EPISODES
For supported public Douyin collections, load the complete directory, then choose individual episodes, ranges or all episodes. Save in source episode order, reuse existing downloads, fill missing episodes and retry failures. Selections and progress survive restart. Keep VidKeep open while loading the directory and resolving videos; source availability still applies. Each video counts separately toward the free daily allowance. Other platforms' playlists are not included in this feature.

PRIVATE COLLECTION
Set a separate 6-digit PIN to keep private videos and notes out of ordinary browsing and search. Optionally enable Face ID or Touch ID. Private Collection locks when closed or when the app enters the background. The device passcode cannot replace your private PIN. Forgetting the PIN requires deleting local private content before setting a new one. This provides in-app access protection, not separate file encryption. External copies and system backups remain outside this protection.

FIND AND REVISIT
Organize recipes, workouts and lessons into categories and collections. Search titles, authors and notes, resume playback, change speed and play collections in order. Timestamped notes return you to useful moments. Recently Deleted retains removed videos and bookmarks for up to 30 days.

A QUIETER WAY TO WATCH
Explore, Study and Kids modes play only videos you choose, without a recommendation feed. Set a daily viewing limit and lock a mode with a parent check. This parent check is separate from the Private Collection PIN.

BACK UP ORDINARY CONTENT
Export an ordinary-collection backup to Files or enable automatic backup to a folder you choose, such as iCloud Drive. Backups include ordinary videos, organization, progress and notes, but exclude private content and collection download state. Public episode links remain bookmarks. Collection source information can be retained for a fresh directory lookup and selection. These backups are not encrypted; system device backups follow system settings. Verify your backup before deleting files, changing devices or uninstalling. Unbacked-up local content and videos removed before downloading cannot be recovered by VidKeep.

FREE AND PRO
Save unlimited links, import local videos and download 5 videos daily for free. Organization, playback, notes and ordinary backups are free. Monthly or annual auto-renewable Pro subscriptions remove the daily download limit while active. A one-time Lifetime purchase provides the same benefit without renewal. Existing content remains accessible after expiry. Purchases are charged to your Apple Account; subscriptions renew unless canceled in App Store subscription settings. Prices and plans appear before purchase. No plan includes developer cloud storage or changes source restrictions.

Only save content you own or have permission to keep. Private, sign-in-only, paid, restricted and verification-required works are unsupported. VidKeep is not affiliated with source platforms.
