## What is VidLingo?

VidLingo shows a live bilingual subtitle line over any YouTube, Netflix, or Bilibili video you're already watching — the original text and its translation, updated sentence by sentence as the video plays. It reads ordinary web pages too.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open a YouTube, Netflix, or Bilibili video in Safari.
2. Tap the small floating icon that appears over the video.
3. A bilingual subtitle card appears at the bottom of the video, staying in sync with playback.

ANY WEB PAGE, TOO
Tap the floating icon on an ordinary web page and VidLingo lays each sentence's translation inline, right where you're reading — with the same tap-a-word lookup, and no copying text into another app.

LEARN AS YOU WATCH
Tap any word in the subtitle line to see its dictionary definition and pronunciation, with a bookmark star to save it for later. Long-press the subtitle card (or use "Open transcript panel" in Settings) to see the full sentence history for the video so far, auto-scrolled to whichever line is currently playing.

PRIVATE, ON-DEVICE TRANSLATION
Translation runs entirely on-device using Apple's own Translate models — no account, no server, nothing leaves your device. Before your first video, download the language pair you want. The built-in tutorial walks you through exactly where: Apple's Translate app on iPhone and iPad, or System Settings on Mac.

SIX LANGUAGES OF DICTIONARY SUPPORT
Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, and German each have their own downloadable dictionary for word lookup. Nothing you don't use is bundled — each language downloads only once you ask for it.

DRAG IT ANYWHERE
The floating subtitle card can be dragged to wherever is most comfortable over the video.

Built for language learners who already spend time watching YouTube and Netflix in a language they're learning, and want real-time bilingual context without switching apps or pausing to look things up elsewhere.
