Vietnam airlines please check out other airline apps and take note of their functionality. Your app just seems like an advertisement for products. Thank you. Looking forward to trying your airline. ### 3/5 — Times Out and Wastes Your Time! *2026-07-26, version 8.5.7* The app isn’t great because when you try to check in online, it takes information from you twice and asks the same questions at various parts of the process e.g. it asks for your details twice and is an efficient way of doing things. Also, it gets you to very end when you are checking in online and then it cancels the whole process, leaving you at least 20 minutes of wasted time! You can’t check-in online so can’t add your boarding pass to the Apple Wallet, you can’t add your membership card to the Apple Wallet, you can’t check your future bookings without inputting all the details. They should really invest in a UX/UI team to modernize the app: no easy feature to login, no Apple wallet syncing, no ability to quickly reference upcoming flights. International customer service number will ring then give you a prompt for “no one is available, please call again later” after 2 mins on hold. Honestly, either call them on their Vietnamese line… or send a messenger pigeon. If you’re lucky, you might get it resolved. Forget about whatever status you have with the airline, you’re basically economy when it comes to customer support. ### 1/5 — Missing important information *2026-02-14, version 8.5.2* There is no information about my upcoming or past trips. Wouldn’t allow me to access the app beyond a prompt forcing me to update. Update button directs you to App Store where there IS no update. The app says “update the app for an even greater experience!” But it won’t run. I even deleted it and re-downloaded it but it still doesn’t work. My wife tried to use the app on her phone and the same thing happened. In all those years I still can not use the app to buy a ticket because when i login with my lotus account and go to purchase a ticket it states my name is over 25 characters long and then gives no way to make the correction to my name because I have logged into my lotus account. Still can not believe someone programmed this and pushed it live. Also, amazing that an international airline app has restrictions to how long a legal name can be when purchasing a flight ticket.
