I think this is basically a lure to attract potential travel insurance customers. WordPower Vietnamese Dictionary is a much richer learning experience. I have used both on and off over 3 years plus. The translations are very loose in some circumstances, and some could get you into trouble. For those translations that use gender specific words, it doesn't provide the options depending on whether you're addressing a male or female. It defaults to "Anh" (older male), which is fine, unless you cone across a female. Then if there is a HUGE AGE GAP, then you're really offending the person you're addressing. ### 3/5 — trouble spots *2011-07-06, version 1.1* Just know that this is one dialect of the many in Vietnamese. Never assume that yes no good morning ect. is going to be the same through out all of Vietnam since it is not. I like this app alot but wish it was in southern dialect which everyone understands. ### 5/5 — Helpful *2010-09-21, version 0* Quite helpful for beginners, has the pronunciation audio which I like. Bit alarming that they have phrases like "Don't shoot!" and "Those drugs aren't mine!" Definitely worth the free download though. ### 3/5 — Change the communist flag on app *2010-06-14* Vietnamese-Americans and Canadians have run away from the communist in Vietnam and the communist flag for freedom. Please don't display that flag due to the fact that Vietnamese people don't support it in America and Canada. That is why we left... But the app is excellent.
