## What is View Later?

Everything you save, in one place you'll actually open.

You save things all day. A recipe from Instagram, a jacket from a shop you'll think about later, an article you meant to read, a video you sent yourself. Then it's gone, buried in a chat thread or a browser tab you closed weeks ago.

View Later catches all of it and files it the moment you hit save.

IT SORTS ITSELF
Recipes, YouTube, Shopping, Articles, Screenshots, Instagram and TikTok each get their own list, filled automatically as you save. Anything that doesn't match lands in Unsorted. Turn off the lists you don't use.

MAKE YOUR OWN LISTS
A trip, a project, a gift list. Your lists start empty and fill however you like. Add tags, leave notes, and mark recipes as made it once you've cooked them.

SET A REMINDER
Tomorrow, next week, or a date and time you pick. A notification brings the save back when you asked for it, instead of leaving you to remember on your own.

SAVE FROM ANYWHERE
Tap share in Safari, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or your camera roll. Two taps and it's in.

FIND IT AGAIN
Search across titles, notes and tags. Tap a tag to see every save that carries it.

A REAL IPAD APP
The full library laid out for the screen you're on, not a stretched phone.

ARCHIVE, DON'T DELETE
Clear things out without losing them.

BUY IT ONCE
One payment and it's yours. No renewal, no tiers, no upgrade later.

NO ACCOUNT
Nothing to sign up for, nothing to log into. There is no View Later account and no server holding your saves.

YOUR ICLOUD
Saves sync privately through your own iCloud, across your iPhone and iPad. Turn iCloud off and everything stays on your device.

### 4/5 — Links

*2026-08-29*

One of the issues I have is that Links to the Article don’t come along with the save.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review and for flagging this. I'd like to get to the bottom of it. Some apps hand the share sheet an image or plain text with no URL attached, so nothing tappable comes through, but that isn't the case everywhere and it may well be something I can fix. If you can email me at support@viewlater.io and let me know which app or website you are saving from, I'll take a proper look.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-08-23*

The app I’ve been waiting for … I’ve long wanted - and been searching for - an app which I can save websites linked to “Things to Do”, places to visit (locally or holiday destinations) etc. Everything in one place sorted into lists I’ve created or auto lists for Instagram etc. Only just found this app (via the developers YouTube) and it’s brilliant!

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-02

You can now sort your lists manually or alphabetically. Tap the arrows
next to MY LISTS to switch between the two. In manual you drag your
lists into any order you like. Your manual order is kept if you switch
to alphabetical, so you can always switch back.

Press and hold a list to change its icon. There are also more icons to
pick from when you make a new list.

Press and hold an auto list like Recipes or YouTube to turn it off,
without going into Settings. Turning it back on puts everything back.

Menu items now have icons next to them.

The archive has moved to the sidebar, so it is easier to get to.

Plus some bug fixes.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-26

Titles are now editable. Photos and screenshots save with a generic name, so
you can rename them to something you will recognise later. Titles are
searchable too, which makes saves easier to find.

Text is now selectable. Press and hold a title, description or note to
highlight and copy it.

Sharing an app from the App Store now saves a working link to the listing
instead of just the icon.

Fixes:
Settings on iPad had no way back when held in portrait.
The keyboard covered Save and Cancel while editing a title.
Photo details were cut off with no way to read the rest.
Layout issues at larger text sizes.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-24

You can now edit things you have already saved.

Notes can be edited and deleted. Lists can be renamed. Tags can be renamed or deleted everywhere at once, and renaming a tag onto one that already exists merges the two.

When you add a tag, your existing tags now appear as options, so it is easier to reuse the ones you have rather than creating something slightly different by accident.

Everything is available on iPhone and iPad.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-22

No release notes.
