Your AI generated or terrible images get voted because of social popularity. They want me to share my entries on facebook to get more votes. Isn't this judged by professionals to win? Social ignorance will soon rule this app at the pace it is going. ### 3/5 — It’s a 50/50 for me now *2025-07-24* I’ve been using this app for a long time now, been paying for it as well to gain more access, but the last year I noticed, that while I still had paid for the year, I no longer had access to the things I once did. I reached out to try to resolve this issue, and it’s extremely hard to get a hold of someone, and when I did, they completely ghosted me after responding to me once. I love this app, and how it can help photographers whither it’s professional or hobbyist, but I’m no longer feeling comfortable paying for something that won’t even give me what I paid for, or let alone, no one responding to correct this issue. ### 4/5 — Listen up. 👂 *2025-06-22* Now, I genuinely enjoy this app. I am a passionate and young photographer who wants to share my work with the world on this app called VIEWBUG. I love the app’s features and enjoy seeing photos from other photographers, which greatly assist me in my personal photography journey. However, the app still has some bugs that need to be fixed. One of them is that I cannot add a profile picture of any kind, no matter how many times I try. Secondly, the app suddenly shuts me out from time to time which can be annoying when I’m trying to work on something. Lastly, I hope that you can allow a free user to add more photos throughout the week. I can understand your other premium features that are locked for a reason. I am not a premium user and do not have the financial ability to buy the pro version. However, I would think it best and most fair if you would allow 10 photos per week for a free user. I put in my username to reset my email. I received an email and could not reset it. I was told through emailing them that I don’t have an account with that email even though I received it using my username. I cannot get a hold of a person and my credit card was charged when I haven’t accessed it in a couple years after canceling. I have tried to contact them many different ways to resolve this. I’m opening a credit card dispute. ### 1/5 — Ripoff *2024-08-05, version 6.9* Just download the app a few days ago and bought the pro plus membership. However, I don’t have access to pro plus and can’t log in to the app. The transaction cleared my bank the same day I bought the membership. WTH ### 2/5 — Can’t log in *2024-07-18, version 6.7* I used to love this app! But it logged me out and went log back in. It keeps telling me an error has occurred. It’s hard to use an app that won’t even log you in. ### 4/5 — Great app! Needs landscape rotation tho ;) *2024-06-27, version 6.5* I love using Viewbug! Great community with a variety of challenges available to sharpen any photographer regardless of experience. Only thing I wish for is that Viewbug was viewable in landscape orientation. I use my iPad primarily as a second laptop, so an option to use it in landscape mode or have it rotate automatically would be nice! ### 3/5 — I think it’s rigged *2024-06-24* When I downloaded this app for the first ten days I was given rewards and I kept ongoing getting gifts and followers and “MESSAGES FROM THE DEVELOPERS saying stuff like this photo is awesome than after the first ten days I got nothing absaloutley nothing. And it seems to be all the people that have a membership for the app have more followers like there was someone who just stood in different places and he has 35k followers and yes he was premium . Pretty much I think this app is rigged and filled with bots its a waste of your time . ### 2/5 — Fun and easy but they don’t pay up *2024-06-20* Easy to upload and join competitions, but I won a contest and they made no attempt to send my winnings. I enjoy the communal aspect but the navigation is completely confusing, ambiguous and not at all user-friendly. Good luck remembering how you got to somewhere before. None of it makes sense. It a true challenge. It doesn’t even swap between vertical and horizontal mode on an iPad. You’re stuck with an awkward “vertical.” ### 1/5 — Ultimate membership scam *2024-04-01, version 6.2* I purchased the ultimate membership plan on March 21,2024. I have yet to see the membership in my account. I’ve sent 4 emails regarding this. I tried contacting them on the telephone and it’s just a message that directs me to their email. I guess I’ll now have to contact my credit card to get them involved. I want my money back. ### 1/5 — A shadow of its former greatness *2026-07-14* When this app and site came onto the photography scene back years ago, it was a force to be reckoned with. It was a beautiful way to display photos, and photographers encouraged each other through commenting, awarding prizes, not to mention being instrumental in encouraging photo competitions and photo challenges. I was a happy paid subscription member. But as the saying goes, that was then and this is NOW. A platform littered with issues. More often than not, I spend my days scratching my head wondering what the hell is going on with VIEWBUG. Troubles uploading. Troubles with viewing images. Text disappears. If you’re willing to become a paid member, they might actually respond to your messages. Other than that, good night and good luck; you’re on your own. Customer service ZIP! Issues uploading from iPhone either directly or via the phone photos app (that’s never worked). Clunky input of text that does not make any sense. Truly a huge disappointment when VIEWBUG ruled the photographic world. Now a cause of great frustration. ### 1/5 — Still waiting for issue to be fixed. *2026-04-18, version 8.6* Still Unable to upload from I-Phone. The promise of a new update will be the silver bullet to fix all. I sincerely doubt it. Rejoined in December, April now. On occasion there has been success in uploading an image, usually it duplicates its and sometimes triplicates. This app really rocked about 15 years ago but sadly is issue laden and no one seems to be overly interested in fixing it. Particularly, if you don’t subscribe. I’m being spammed with emails asking me to update it on an account that no longer exists. I’m glad they can’t charge my card. This is unethical and I cannot in good conscience endorse VIEWBUG. Currently, none of my new uploads are showing up, and my photos won’t update. Another thing that’s gotten very annoying is how most competitions are for paid subscribers, when there used to be more availability for those that choose the free version. I wish this app would go back to what it was a couple years ago.
