I needed to port forward my router to gain access from outside my local network. I love the grid view. I'd give it 4 stars if it had that feature. It's stable, but really low on features. ### 3/5 — Easy to setup, but video update rate is slow *2012-05-27, version 2.4.3* Despite many of the other reviews, I had absolutely no trouble getting this to work. All you do is enter the IP address or DNS name of the camera and the camera password and it is added to the list. If you don't understand what an IP address or a DNS name is, then this app is not for you. What I am disappointed in is the lack of features. 1. It appears to only download a snapshot once every second instead of streamed video(NO RTSP support). 2. It doesn't support audio from cameras. In fact, on many D-Link cameras you can simply open the MJPEG URL in safari and get the same video quality and update rate for free. What the app does is give you the ability to display multiple cameras on the same screen for quick viewing. This one seems to crash too so the $5.49 spent now seems a waste. There is no sound either. Can the developers add this feature? Also only records for 5 seconds, not the "up to 30 seconds" as described in the features. Maybe the developers can upgrade this feature too? No full screen option either. I got it when it was free but would spend the $5 easy , I just did for testing reasons on another app and it failed miserably , the best for DCS 900 series cams for sure . I have 5 cameras set up at home and use this app on multiple iDevices to view them as required. The only issue is setting up your home network to view cameras externally. To do this, simply read up on Port Forwarding on your Router and expose a Port to the app to aim at. the other option is to use an external site, but I am not comfortable with that - figuring out how to expose a Port is a much safer approach. Al in all, I am a big fan of the D-Link camera (especially the DCS-932L) and this app. My ONLY complaint is that I cannot receive the audio on the app - hopefully that will be addressed in a future release. ### 5/5 — Finally, I can view multiple cameras at the same time!! *2012-03-25, version 2.4* This is the fourth D-Link viewer app I have purchased in my search for one that will give me a quad view. This one actually lets me view 6 cameras at once. And it works! Others, like UDcsCam, allow you to view one camera at a time, and they have an in-app upgrade to allow you to view 4 at a time. I paid for the upgrade, and I saw 4 cameras, but they ran in slow motion, and after 5 minutes, I'm viewing what happened 4 minutes ago. NO GOOD! I emailed the developers a month ago and they still have not replied. I know it is not my cameras because the multi-view works GREAT in D-Link Cams! So I highly recommend this app, and my search is finally over! ### 5/5 — Works with older cams too *2012-03-08, version 2.3.2* My older Dlink dcs 920 needs java to stream live video in a browser and the ipod doesn't use java but with this app, the camera is supported and it will stream live video just fine.
