## What is Vigil?

Vigil turns the phone you already own into a motion-triggered guard.

Point the camera at a doorway, hallway, or your gear. Tap Arm. Vigil keeps
watch — and the instant a PERSON or a MOVING VEHICLE comes into view, it sounds a
loud alarm.

Turn on Sound and Vigil listens too — footsteps or a car pulling up trip the
alarm even out of frame, while everyday noise like birds is filtered out.

Built for people who can't afford to miss someone coming.

• NO HARDWARE — it's the camera already in your pocket
• 10-SECOND SETUP — point, arm, done
• LOUD ALARM — overrides the silent switch to wake you and warn them off
• SMART DETECTION — spots people, vehicles, and bicycles, ignores parked cars and
background motion, so fewer false alarms
• WATCH ZONE — draw a box on screen to watch only the area that matters
• REACHES FARTHER — adjustable sensitivity from Low to Extreme, for close-up or
  distant coverage
• RUNS FOR HOURS — battery- and heat-smart, so it can stand guard on long watches;
the screen dims while watching and lights up instantly on an alarm
• LIVE TARGET LOCK — a targeting reticle frames what Vigil sees on screen, in real time
• SOUND DETECTION (optional) — listens for footsteps or a car pulling up even
off-camera, and ignores everyday noise like birds
• PRIVATE — nothing is recorded, nothing is uploaded; it all runs on your device
• FREE TRIAL — try it free, then $19.99/year

Tip: wear a Bluetooth earbud and the alarm plays only in your ear — a discreet,
silent alert just for you, so you know someone's coming without tipping them off.

Made for solo security guards on long shifts, lone night-shift workers,
travelers napping in hostels or tents, and anyone who wants to step away from
their stuff and know if someone comes near.

Note: Vigil must stay open with the screen on while armed — iOS pauses the
camera in the background.

Vigil Pro is an auto-renewable subscription (3-day free trial, then $19.99/year
or $6.99/month), or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your
Apple ID; a subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before
the period ends; manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-06

Vigil now watches farther and runs longer.
• LONGER RANGE — People detection reaches farther by default, so Vigil catches someone approaching from more of the scene.
• RUNS FOR HOURS — New battery and thermal optimizations let Vigil stand guard on long watches without draining or overheating your phone. The screen dims while it watches and lights up instantly on an alarm.
• WATCH ZONE — Draw a rectangle on screen to alarm only on the area that matters and ignore the rest.
• SMOOTHER & STEADIER — A smoother live view, an upright camera on iPad, and reliability fixes throughout.
Point it, arm it, and Vigil keeps watch. A rating genuinely helps a solo developer — thank you.
