### 3/5 — A Solid and Expensive Calendar

*2026-06-05*

Vimcal is a solid calendar with few downsides. That said, innovation with the product slowed to the near standstill that it’s at now around 2 years ago. Since then the app has seen surprisingly few updates that are not “performance updates.” If Vimcal’s cost were less than what it is, this would be acceptable. However, Vimcal should be innovating in some way, given how the world has changed around the calendar product in the last 2 years and their premium price point.

**Developer response:** Hi Aaron,

The mobile app is free with no upsell or in app purchases. The desktop which is separate is $15 a month. The mobile app is not dependent on the desktop (you can use mobile without ever touching the desktop app). The mobile app has many of the same features as the desktop app and include the following and more.
- company profiles and briefs
- easy availability sharing with customizable options
- view events in any time zone or city
- view teammate's schedules and find openings
- various widgets (lock screen, home screen, etc)
- merge events to easily declutter your calendar view
- show both Outlook and GCal calendar in the same view

Cheers,
Vimcal team

### 2/5 — Scheduling links broken

*2025-11-04, version 1.0.247*

Love the interface of Vimcal but all my scheduling links are broken. Help?

### 2/5 — No offline support

*2025-04-16*

This doesn't seem possible for a modern calendar app, but I'm pretty sure there's no support for offline mode. When opening the app it takes 10+ seconds to load the events, so I turned off wifi and turned in airplane mode, quit the app, and reopened it, and sure enough after 10 or so seconds of loading, nothing showed up. Being able to see my calendar without an internet connection is a very basic table-stakes feature.
Also, normally I'd ask a question like this via support before leaving a review bit there's no Help section on the website or in the app...

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing this! Offline access is a popular request we're keeping on our radar. While it's not available at this time, we'll be sure to announce it in our product emails if we do implement it.

If you need help or would like to share feedback or suggestions, simply tap Command Center > Send Feedback to reach our support team directly! - Cheers, Vimcal Team

### 4/5 — Missing piece…iCloud

*2025-03-04, version 1.0.210*

Loved it mostly and would have stayed subscribing if iCloud calendar was integrated. Not able to manage family full calendar w/o it. Strange as to continue to not want to integrate it for over a year.

### 3/5 — A good iOS app with an overpriced desktop app with few functional updates over the last 1-2 years.

*2025-01-18*

As far as stand alone free iOS apps go, use Vimcal. It’s a good app. The minute you see the $15/mo price tag for the desktop app, know that the desktop app has had the same missing functionality and innovation for about 2 years now while Vimcal has built out another side of their business. When using premium calendars, the ecosystem is part of the deal. If they’re going to continue to charge $15/mo for desktop, they’ll need to visibly focus on the calendar product.

**Developer response:** Hi Aaron,

The mobile app is not dependent on the desktop (you can use mobile without ever touching the desktop app). ### 2/5 — No direction on canvas

*2024-07-18, version 1.0.176*

I am a student and have access to Canvas but now way I can add that feed into VimCal

### 3/5 — It’s great, but…

*2024-06-22, version 1.0.169*

How come there’s no support for iCloud accounts ? Even google supports them :(

### 2/5 — Please fix the widget

*2024-05-12, version 1.0.159*

The widget is the problem.
Checked the calendar subscribing to in the location below, but it doesn't appear in the widget.
Account > Preferences > Widgets & Notifications - google account

### 4/5 — So far so good but

*2024-04-21, version 1.0.153*

I’d like to be able to feed it information and have it organize it for my calendar

### 4/5 — Room for improvement

*2024-03-23*

Love the speed of scheduling.

A bit buggy with time zones (it reverts to local device time zone even when trying to change it).

Also could use more thoughtful UI, like list of events (eg Fantastical) — hard to see with such tiny letters.

**Developer response:** Appreciate your feedback here! Rest assured that our team is aware of the time zone issue and we have already submitted a fix for it. The fix will be included in the next update. Also, tapping the hamburger menu and choosing "Agenda" shows your events in a clear list. - Cheers, Vimcal Team

### 4/5 — Questions

*2024-03-20, version 1.0.146*

Is it unlimited to use AI for a calendar, and I do not mainly use Google or Outlook calendar but other team collaboration apps; can this app support them too?

### 4/5 — great except widget

*2024-03-08, version 1.0.141*

widget only shows events on your main calendar for an account - i have a bunch linked to my google account so not ideal.

### 3/5 — Good Calendar App, Just One Thing Missing

*2023-12-03*

There is a lot that I like about this calendar app. This app is fast, easy to use, and looks good. The one thing that is missing that I really need is a full year view. I book travel events 18 to 24 months out and not having a full year view makes this app difficult for me to use. Quite honestly I'm surprised how many good calendar apps are missing such a simple thing as a full year view. To my way of thinking a calendar without a full year view is an incomplete calendar. Unfortunately I have had to switch back to an alternate calendar app with a full year view.

**Developer response:** Hey Scott, we're ecstatic to hear you like the calendar! We also appreciate you sharing your thoughts. We definitely would love to offer the full-year calendar view at some point... hopefully soon! - Cheers, Vimcal Team

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2026-06-17, version 1.0.273*

Everytime I make an account and I log in it just says error occurred log out.

### 1/5 — Sign in with Google doesn't work right

*2026-01-18*

Instead of giving you the typical "select an account" option when using the Sign In With Google button, it seems to be defaulting to an account on my device that isn't usable with this app (locked down by employer). I'd prefer to use my personal Google account, but don't have the option to select which profile to use when signing in - not sure how it decided the work account is the default, but since I can't get past that initial screen, I don't have any way to add/change profiles.
There's some combination of signing out of all Google accounts on my device then signing back in in a specific order that might work, but it never sends to stick - once I get it displaying the right profile, it's only a few weeks before it's "stuck" on the work account again, and I'm tired of dealing with all that.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2025-08-13, version 1.0.232*

The app since update won’t actually open the date you want. I my the day prior or the day after. Unless you access it via the month view. Utterly awful update.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2025-08-09, version 1.0.231*

Clicking on date goes to the previous day. Not working properly…

### 1/5 — App is randomly deleting meetings

*2025-04-04, version 1.0.219*

The app has been randomly deleting me meetings from my calendar, and if I try to update a meeting, it deletes it. Unfortunately, it started out amazing, but something recently has gone a awry, making it almost unusable, as I’m not sure what meetings are being deleted.

### 1/5 — Meh Calendar

*2024-09-01*

It says it's a "calendar on steroids" but that's an insult to both calendars and steroids. It's more like a sticky note on decaf. Had the widget on my home screen with stuff for the day added. But it constantly said my day was empty and wouldn't show anything added in the calendar. They make it looks cool which is why I downloaded it, but I went back to Google calendars. It does what I need which is to be able to see what's scheduled for the day when I open my phone. Disappointing app

**Developer response:** Hi CrazyPickleWeasel! We're sorry this recent experience didn't go as positively as we had hoped. This isn't the standard we strive for, and we truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We'd like to investigate this further. Could you please reach out to us at aloha@vimcal.com? You can also send us a message through the feedback feature in the Command Center. We're eager to get this resolved for you! - Cheers, Vimcal Team

### 1/5 — So slow to update

*2024-05-14, version 1.0.159*

Consistently takes 2-3 minutes to update my calendar. Desktop app is great .. this one, not so much.

### 1/5 — Poor experience creating and editing events

*2023-07-26, version 1.0.56*

Unable to book resources like meeting rooms despite giving oauth scopes to do so, poor search of directory contacts, cannot erase a location from a draft meeting once text has been entered. Did nobody QA the core functionality?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2023-07-14*

I downloaded this app while searching for a calendar app on LinkedIn. Looked promising but doesn’t have projects like some of the better calendar apps. The biggest problem I have with this one is, there’s a button at the bottom of the screen called the command center, that opens and is supposed to allow you to add your slots personal links etc… I have to tap it twenty times, close the app, then open the app, just to get the drop down menu. I’m on a iPhone 11 ProMax. On other screens this happens as well. Not a friendly, functional or beautiful UI, I’m afraid. Back to my search.

**Developer response:** Hi Summer!

We're really sorry for missing your feedback, especially since it had plenty of good, constructive feedback.

Good news -- the Command Center issue is fixed!

Fortunately what you were encountering affected 9 users in total, which was a relief to find out. In either case, now affecting 0.

Really good observation on your end, so thank you once again for the feedback. Hopefully Vimcal iOS can now meets your expectations =)

Cheers,
Vimcal team

### 1/5 — Not quite working for me

*2023-07-02, version 1.0.51*

Everytime I try to add an event it says an error has occurred

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nothing better

*2026-05-21*

Couldn’t possibly have imagined how good this calendar app would be. The version on the computer is better than the iOS app but it’s still pretty great here. If you are a heavy calendar user, especially with multiple calendars across multiple services, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

### 5/5 — Very good scheduling app

*2026-05-05*

I’ve been using Vimcal for a few months and it’s completely changed how I manage my schedule. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the scheduling features save me so much time compared to other calendars. I love how fast it is and how easily I can book meetings without back-and-forth emails. It feels designed for people who live in their calendar. Vimcal has made my days more organized and less stressful, and I now rely on it daily.

### 5/5 — Great app for multiple calendars

*2026-01-20, version 1.0.257*

I usually have 5 or more calendar accounts via different client workplaces - this gives me one place to see them all, and give people a unified option for booking in with me.

Also can check availability for colleagues in different client companies at once - handy when setting meetings with people from both

Bonus: love how they handle time zones - I work with colleagues in a lot of counties and this is invaluable

### 5/5 — Fast!

*2025-10-27, version 1.0.244*

Incredibly feature packed and fast. Similar vibe to superhuman. If you take the time to learn the shortcuts and capabilities, it could save hours per week.

### 5/5 — A must-have app for google cal users!

*2025-05-24, version 1.0.228*

The Vimcal iOS app has several features that I find myself using over and over again
- the ability to tag events with different colors makes it easy for me to grok what I have coming up at a glance
- sending availability slots is a huge time saver
- time zone functionality is great when I’m too lazy to do mental math

Highly recommend checking out their desktop app too! Love the keyboard shortcuts there

### 5/5 — I’m a double endorsement

*2025-04-12, version 1.0.221*

…because I left and came back! Loved all aspects but had significant refresh issues. Gave Vimcal another try and the speed is real. Keep it up, team

### 5/5 — Innovative and Efficient Calendar with Sleek UI

*2024-10-16*

Vimcal has revolutionized my scheduling process. It’s easy to provide empty slots in the schedule for meeting scheduling. Vimcal's 'Find a Time' feature automatically suggests the best slots to meet.

The keyboard shortcuts are intuitive, allowing me to navigate my schedule and schedule meetings in seconds. The 'Time Travel' feature makes scheduling across time zones effortless.

The UI is clean, attractive, and organized. Vimcal's sleek and minimalist design keeps me focused, and the seamless integration with my Google Calendar ensures all my events are always up-to-date.

If you're looking for a calendar app that's easy, fun 😃, powerful, user-friendly, and installs in a couple of minutes check this gem out!

### 5/5 — Worse and worse

*2024-06-01*

Not sure what your engineering team is doing. App crashes upon launching for the last two weeks and no update to fix it at all. You guys might just shut it down and refund. Will not renew again if this is not fixed asap

**Developer response:** Hi Eric! We're really sorry to hear about your recent experience. It's definitely not what we want for you and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. A member of our team will contact you via email to help resolve this. Please keep an eye out for our message! If you need anything else, you can reach us at aloha@vimcal.com or send us a message using the feedback feature in the Command Center. - Cheers, Vimcal Team

### 5/5 — great app

*2024-04-03, version 1.0.150*

found out about it from a friend as I’ve never really liked the apple calendar app. vimco is so much easier to use and much more helpful

### 5/5 — A must have for gcal users

*2023-11-04*

As a Google calendar user, the Vimcal iOS app is miles better than the Google calendar app. So many things that are a pain or impossible on Google, like finding a coworkers’ calendar, deduplicating events on shared calendars, and changing time zones, are a breeze in Vimcal.

So glad I downloaded this app!

**Developer response:** Hi there!

Thanks so much =) That's absolutely our goal; providing an experience that's familiar, but enhanced.

We're always receptive to more ideas you might have along the way, so if you feel inclined, keeping letting us know how we can keep Vimcal iOS spectacular.

Cheers,
Vimcal team
