As others have said in their reviews, this was a great app a few years ago. The functions remain good, but now everything is locked behind a Pay wall in the worst way. I understand that app developers should be entitled to income of some kind for their work, however; the way they set up the Pay wall and the options for paying are lousy to say the least.

I saw a gorgeous Mercedes convertible featured on liveauctioneers.com, but there was no accident history.  When I checked the AppStore, I found this tool and decided to give it a try — it was free vs. $45 for CarFax! Well, thanks to the free iVIN Report and the link it provides to the NICB, I discovered the “well-cared for” car that runs perfectly was in fact a salvage.  Thanks very much!

This is the second time I have purchased the iVIN Lite subscription and after just a few then VIN checks, it tells me I have ran out of free reports when I have made the purchase. Do not waste your time or money with this application.
