Great service from American waitress and good food. 2. Visited with friends and waited over 40 minutes for drinks and then more time for food. Barperson complained he was too busy serving other tables outside! 3. Tonight waited over 30 minutes for a salad to arrive. When it did arrive it was the wrong meal. Taken away for correct order , which, when it arrived the chicken was dry as a stick and not enjoyable. 3. Paid bill tonight and found that I had been charged for the wrong meal as well as the overcooked chicken salad. Despite the best efforts of the staff and myself, the app refused to allow me to register. We tried several options to create an account to access a discount code, but all failed. I the first the main code worked but the money off codes didn’t. On the second neither the main code or money off codes worked. Annoyed. Notes on food orders do not relay to the kitchen. 2. The loyalty stamps are not automatic added to your app ordering - it’s like they don’t want you collecting loyalty visit stamps When discussing with staff at the Roundhey Fox, even the staff dislike the app. They say it causes endless confusion, problems, and customer service complaints, the staff want to turn it off but head office push it! ### 1/5 — Rip Off *2025-11-03, version 3.3.1* This “ Loyalty App” is a rip off! The offers they give are so short lived, there is no chance of redeeming them! Going out with a young family is a treat not a regular occurrence. The reward offer needs to last longer. Additionally the loyalty “Stamp” is not fair! I spent £200 for one stamp. The person next to me had one meal £20 and got a stamp!Where is the parity in that? ### 1/5 — The app won’t let me use it!! *2025-09-11, version 3.3.0* Had the app but appeared not to have registered. After 5th attempt of trying to rectify this we gave up. Every-time you had to go away from the app to pick up pass numbers via email the app signed you out and you had to start again with all your details. In fact if you did anything the app was unhappy! ### 1/5 — Good service Terrible food *2025-08-19, version 3.2.2* Had lunch today (19 August 2025) at Smugglers Rest Telscombe Cliffs. Served by Mae and Darren who were friendly and professional. The food was terrible. All over-cooked. Difficult to complain as we were with friends who had come down from London for the day. We live opposite the pub, which makes it convenient. The last meal we had was excellent. Today it was awful. The pub had a great atmosphere and was very busy. Despite that our server Maddie was terrific and our food was delivered promptly.. Our meals were delicious and the service was exceptional ..
