I’ve deleted and resorted multiple times and the app works for a short time then stops working again. Now, the restore isn’t working though I have a subscription until January of 2027. ### 4/5 — Upgraded format *2026-06-26, version 1.9.7* I have enjoyed listening to Vintage Radio at bedtime for more than 6 years. However, it’s no longer simple to navigate. I need instructions and don’t know where to find them. ### 3/5 — It’s good but…. *2026-03-05, version 1.9.2* So it’s really good but I listen to story’s a lot and this app has comedy adventure drama crime and detective and so many more topics but I like the comedy like baby snooks Archie Andrew’s and so on. In the baby snooks there’s 156 story’s about her BUT ONLY 15 are available so unless you pay for the rest of them you can only listen to the 15/156 and tats like that with all of them but they all don’t have that many some have 12 episodes some have 76 and so on but I wish there was more you can listen to besides just 15/156 ### 5/5 — Best vintage radio app! *2026-01-21, version 1.9.2* I’ve been a premium customer for years, I have to drive 30 minutes each way to work everyday and listen everyday. The app is great and the functionality does not change much so it’s easy to use. The sound quality of some episodes are a bit rough but that is likely due to how they were originally captured/preserved. I purchase the annual subscription and love the quality of shows. My only complaints are technical ones. When I’m in my car connected to my Bluetooth stereo and have to pause to take a call the app crashes or goes back to the Home Screen. Same thing happens when I switch from one Bluetooth device to another. Lately, I’ve been having trouble with my subscription. I keep getting error messages that my subscription has expired (I still have 4 months left). Restarting the app works occasionally, but not the last couple days. I put a trouble ticket into the Apple Store so hopefully I’ll get a fix soon. **Developer response:** Thanks for the report. We'll try to replicate this issue. Would you mind calling or sending us details by email? ### 5/5 — Wonderful App! *2024-08-10* I’ve had this app for over 10 years and now that I’m old and raggedy - but still working full time - I love listening to to radio shows that were on the air when I was a kid and our one family TV was a 19” black and white. Over the years I’ve run into a few episodes where the files were corrupted, but just let the owner know and he fixes the problem. Lovely! These old shows actually let your imagination go to work! I have already downloaded several shows. I would recommend this app. ### 3/5 — Good, could use updating, and dates seem to be wrong *2023-12-17, version 1.9.0* I like the app, it's nice to pull up shows easily on the phone what with archive.org not really having a good way to get at it. But I wonder if there have been more shows that could be added to this database. Also, is it me, or are the air dates one day off the actual date? I noticed that when looking up some Fibber McGee, Jack Benny, and Our Miss Brooks shows. As Benny said on his first radio program, there will be a slight pause while you say, who cares. ... but it is a bit odd, since all of this is in the public domain i thought? I could be wrong. I listen to this app everyday, while I am at work or in the car. Today it won’t play any shows. No VPN connection in the way, restarted iPad, deleted app and reinstalled. Nothing. I tried the link for support but got bad gateway. Other apps stream fine. Glad I switched from annual to monthly. The first time, via a phone call, it was basically a sure, we’ll look into it response. After almost a year with no updates at all I put up a 1 star review saying that although the app overall is a fine app and that I would give the 5 stars it deserves, they still did NOTHING!!!! The administrator of the website emailed me to complain why I didn’t let him know BEFORE I put up that review. I wrote him back and said “read my review, the reason is self explanatory!” That was over a month ago. No response, NOTHING!! The interface and selection of shows is great and the tech support is top notch. The quality of the recordings is overall pretty impressive given the technology used to capture these shows when they were originally recorded. And when I had a technical issue I received prompt support. We have updated the app 4 times over the last two months and that was to transition from older technology and methods. It took many steps because of the on device database and clearing up some issue.
