## What is Vinyl Portfolio?

Vinyl Portfolio is the modern way to collect, track, and archive your record collection.

CATALOG EVERY PRESSING
Scan barcodes, search by artist, or browse Discogs, eBay, and MusicBrainz to add records in seconds. Capture variant details that matter to collectors - pressing year, label, country, variant, matrix numbers, and condition. Your collection lives in a clean, searchable interface designed for serious listeners.

INVESTMENT-GRADE PRICING
See real-time market value pulled from Discogs and eBay sold listings. Our 5-tier confidence system tells you whether a price is verified, probable, or estimated - so you know which numbers to trust. Track 30-day price changes and see your collection's total value at a glance.

WISHLIST WITH STANDOUT LISTINGS
Set target prices for records you're hunting. We surface the best active listings - ranked by deal score, with seller condition, marketplace, and percentage below market clearly marked. Get notified when a wishlist record drops to your target (PRO).

AI CURATED RECOMMENDATIONS (PRO)
Three weekly picks tailored to your taste: Best Sound Quality, Best Collector Investment, and Best Overall Pick. Every recommendation commits to one specific pressing with catalog number and tight price range — no vague "original or reissue" suggestions.

EVERY VARIANT, EVERY COVER, FAITHFULLY SHOWCASED
Editorial typography, dense detail when you want it, simple cards when you don't. Your collection deserves better than a spreadsheet.

Black, colored, splatter, marble, picture disc. Every label rendered with era-accurate typography and color. Your collection view actually looks like the shelf it represents.

Vinyl Portfolio is built for collectors who care about the details - and want their app to care, too.

### 5/5 — Really helped me out!

*2026-06-07*

I had a backlog of old records that I’ve been collecting over the years and I’ve been trying to organize and sell some and this app helped me quickly go through and scan my records and I found some hidden gems that i forgot about. A must have for anyone trying to quickly price records!

### 5/5 — Best Vinyl Collection Tracker App Out There

*2026-05-27*

I love this app. It’s super visually appealing which is important to me because music is art. So the app should look good- and it does. It displays everything so nicely and the UI looks phenomenal. Easily the best and easiest to use vinyl app out there.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.2 — 2026-08-16

Open any record and see what it actually sells for.

- Sold price history. Real completed sales for your exact pressing, charted over time, with each sale listed below it: date, grade, and price.
- Liquidity at a glance. How many copies sold in the last 12 months and how recently the last one went, so you know if it's a fast mover or a shelf sitter.
- eBay listings from other countries now show in your currency, with the original price alongside.
- A faster, cleaner scan flow: continuous scanning on every surface, a clearer result sheet, and grade quick-select with live repricing.

Fixes: imported records arrive with cover art and pressing details filled in, records missing artwork repair themselves in the background, and tapping a tab from a wishlist record no longer traps you.

Thanks for collecting with us. Keep spinning.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-07-30

More of your records now show live market values backed by real sales.

- A clearer pricing view. Condition, demand, live listings, and recent sales each have their own space, so it's easier to see how a price was reached.
- Set a record's condition right from the pricing view. Tap a condition tile to set the grade, and undo if you change your mind.
- Cleaner scan screens. The scan counter no longer crowds the title.
- Sharper pricing source labels and tidier profile styling.

Fixes: condition edits now re-price right away, values stay consistent across pricing views, dismissing the sign-in sheet no longer shows an error, imported records without a grade get a sensible default, and we fixed a crash on the listings view.

Thanks for collecting with us. Keep spinning.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-18

Vinyl Portfolio 1.4 is a big update: a fresh new look, a portfolio value chart, friend invites, and the most accurate pricing we've ever shipped.

- See your collection's value over time. The home screen now charts your portfolio's real market history, so you can watch it climb (or dip).
- Invite friends and bank extra scans. Share your link and you both get bonus scans on top of your daily limit once a friend joins and scans their first record.
- A cleaner, more polished look across the whole app, from your collection to search, settings, and adding records.
- Much more accurate values. Prices now reflect your record's exact condition, we're far better at ignoring bad data (junk listings, wrong-pressing asking prices, misgraded copies), and we tell different albums and pressings apart, so the right copies set the price.
- Honest values when a pressing is too rare to price on its own, based on other copies of the same record instead of a dead end.

Thanks for collecting with us. Keep spinning.

### 1.3.5 — 2026-07-10

Vinyl Portfolio just got a lot more like the real thing. Tap any record for a redesigned full-screen view and watch the disc slide out of its sleeve.

- Every record now shows its real center label, printed with the artist, title, and catalog number in the label style of its era, and the disc looks like actual vinyl.
- A full-screen page for each record, with clean tabs for overview, pricing, pressings, and market range.
- New wishlist page: set a target price, see listings going below market, and get a heads-up the moment one hits your number.
- Fairer pricing for rare, limited, and original pressings, and steadier values as you move between screens.
- Now in nine languages, with your language and currency set automatically.
- Smarter search, a simpler add screen, more reliable sync.

1.3.5 fixes and improvements
- Redesigned the scan screen so it is clearer how you are adding a record, with the photo option front and center.
- Adding a record is search-first now, and the manual fields only appear if the search comes up empty.
- Each record's market range is based on real sales data instead of a fixed band, so the high and low are honest.
- Friends and profile screens now show a loading state and let you retry instead of sitting blank.
- Bigger, easier color targets when you pick a vinyl color, with a clear checkmark on the one you chose.
- Fixed the camera getting stuck after a scan, tidied up the import wording, and made claiming a pressing as yours more reliable.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-06-30

1.3.3 fixes and improvements
- Free accounts now get three scans a day instead of one, so adding records doesn't hit the limit as quickly.
- The version number in Settings now matches your App Store or Google Play version.
- Album covers load reliably again, so records that were missing art show their real sleeve.
- Cover art you set now saves and stays put, and prices refresh more dependably.
- Corrected some collection and wishlist values that were reading too high, and cleared duplicate wishlist entries.
- Faster, smoother scrolling through your collection and wishlist.
- Fixed a layout glitch that could leave part of the screen blank after using the keyboard, plus a sharper app icon on Android.
- The bottom navigation bar now reliably returns after you close the keyboard.
- Closed several rare cases where the app could get stuck or briefly go blank.
