A few years ago I started collecting my own vinyl library. I made this app because I wanted a super simple vinyl digging companion, but I also wanted to prove that I can make a successful app that is ethical by design (completely free from trackers or ads). 
The only 3rd party service used in this app is the Discogs database which is needed to get the vinyl information.

HOW TO USE
You can find a specific vinyl release in 2 different ways: newer releases usually have barcodes on the cover which you can scan, while you can search the older ones by entering the catalog number or album/artist name.

I’m proud to say that the app doesn’t collect any user information or use any 3rd party services that do so. I want the app to serve as a showcase of what I consider to be an ethical digital product: respect your privacy and your time. It means no artificial engagement mechanisms, no daily notifications, no ads, and no 3rd party trackers. So it says scan the barcode to see what your vinyl is worth, the barcode started in the 70s, made its way to vinyl records late 80s when the cd was doing the rounds and vinyl was dying out, you do the maths, the app inventors didn’t.

I have a lot of record I’m trying to get through, each time I scan one it keeps saying I’m offline when I’m using my WiFi as well as data.

I really like this app. My one and only problem is that when searching my collection the album cover pictures don't come up always.  Wish could fix that. 
Oh sorry, another one is i have a album in my collection and when i hit on it the “are you sure your scanning the right bar code “comes up. Its already scanned  in my collection.

Super clean and straightforward design. And this barcode scanner is better than the Discogs app, which in my experience often returns multiple pressings from a scan. Vinyl app is more precise so far.

Searching for albums that predate barcodes is impossible. The search function mentioned in description does not function. Every time I’ve tried to access the help feature, the app crashes. 

No money lost, only my time.

Really nice little app that I use quite regularly. It’s linked to Discogs so I trust it.

I think it would be really cool if you could have the option of logging what you scan. So that you know how much your collection is and can browse digitally.

This seems to just be a bargain hunters tool, which is also good.

First time I used the app I scanned the barcode on my album and a different album popped up as a result, I do not want or trust this app and I’m deleting it right now!
