## What is Vinylia?

Vinylia is complete DJ software for Mac and iPad, made for DJs coming from Rekordbox.

- Two or four realistic decks (turntable or digital player), mixer with 3-band EQ, filter, SOUND COLOR FX and crossfader.
- Analysis of BPM, beat grid (constant or dynamic), key, phrases (intro, build-up, breakdown, chorus, outro) and vocal parts.
- 8 named hot cues, loops, beat jumps, SLICER, PAD FX, BEAT FX and RELEASE FX, 16-pad sampler.
- STEMS: vocals, instruments, bass and drums separated in real time on Apple silicon Macs (and iPad with M1 or later).
- Pioneer DJ controllers over MIDI, ready to use (XDJ-AZ, OPUS-QUAD, XDJ-RX3, OMNIS-DUO, DDJ-XP2) with lights and colours, or any controller by learning.
- Pro DJ Link: Vinylia joins the CDJ and XDJ network and follows the master player.
- Your music stays where it is: folder and Apple Music library import without copying, Rekordbox collection import and export (XML), playlist export to USB keys for CDJ/XDJ players.
- DVS (timecode vinyl), mix recording, headphone cue.

Vinylia is free. With a DJ controller, each session gives 15 minutes; a one-time purchase unlocks controllers for life on Mac and iPad.

Vinylia is independent software, not affiliated with Pioneer DJ or AlphaTheta.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-27

What's new in Vinylia 1.3:
• MASHUP and DJ MIX (Mac, iPad): layer two tracks from your collection with ideas scored out of 100, vocal and instrumental split by STEMS, test the transition to the next track and build a set. Saved mashups, exported as audio or for another device.
• STUDIO (Mac, iPad): build your mix on a timeline, transitions shaped curve by curve or suggested by Vinylia, mix help, a guided DJ set, export as audio, a playlist or to Rekordbox.
• New design: one family of keys, a strip above each deck, bigger waveforms, artwork in the library.
• iPhone in portrait: two decks one above the other or a single large deck, a MIXER tab, a redone FX tab, your collection under the pads.
• Drag and drop tracks onto the decks and their waveforms (Mac, iPad).
• GROOVE CIRCUIT (DRUM CAPTURE, DRUM SWAP), SHIFT on screen, automatic cues after analysis, deck and mixer settings like in the club.
• Wherever the AI steps in, the window shows its steps.
• Jog calibrated on the XDJ-AZ (softer scratch and nudge), instant SLIP REV, a synced deck no longer moves when you act on the other one, green playheads when the mix is locked, tracks already played in green.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-23

What's new in Vinylia 1.2:
• New ready-to-use controllers: Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV5, DDJ-REV7 and DDJ-FLX10.
• Controller window for their own functions: PIANO PLAY / KEYBOARD, SCRATCH BANK, SAVED FLIP, BPM TRANSITION, MIX POINT, the BEAT FX section and the mic switch.
• HARMONIC MIX (H button): the tracks that go with the deck's, by your conditions (BPM, key, genre, colour, history…), and a playlist made from them in one tap.
• Phase meters of both decks stacked, to line up the bars at a glance.
• Take the analysis of Rekordbox, Serato and Mixed In Key: grid, key, energy and cues, with a library backup first.
• Zoom the waveforms by pinching with two fingers.
• On iPad, a touch selects a track and a double touch loads it: no more loading by mistake.
• The waveform keeps its 3Band or RGB colours once the STEMS are separated.
• Remove an allowed music folder, KEY − / KEY + buttons of controllers, more reliable MIDI connection.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-23

What's new in Vinylia 1.1:
• XDJ-AZ style PAD MODE section, by default in every view: HOT CUE, BEAT LOOP, PAD FX, STEMS and their second modes.
• Title display on each deck, with scrolling for long titles.
• History of the tracks played, by day and by session.
• VINYL SPEED ADJUST and JOG FEEL, set on screen or from the controller.
• CUE and PLAY lights that blink as on real players, jog magnifier, platter that spins even with no track.
• S button to change skin in one tap.
• LOAD LOCK: loading still works when the deck is stopped, paused or ejected.
• Beat-only SYNC as in Rekordbox; MASTER follows the faders.
• FX, PAD FX, SAMPLER, HOT CUES and GRID windows grouped, closing on their own when idle.
• Much less work at rest and while playing: the device stays cooler.
• More reliable MIDI connection at launch, and display fixes on iPhone.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-21

New: Vinylia on iPhone.
• AI assistant (with your OpenAI, Claude, OpenRouter or DeepSeek key): playlist analysis, hot cues and memory cues on phrases, energy, harmonic sets, smart playlists. Nothing is written without your approval.
• AUTOMIX: automatic mixing in SYNC, MASTER TEMPO, bass (LOW) and faders handled, list prepared by the AI (mix in, mix out and crossover length).
• Smart playlists with rules from lists (tempo, 24 keys, genres, energy).
• Mixer: SOUND COLOR FX in one menu, direct access to AUTO, FX, PAD FX, SAMPLER, MICRO.
• Mix recordings in Files and in the « Record » playlist.
• Expandable PLAYLIST view, movable windows, many fixes.
