I guess it’s ok for some people that are into that type of music but deleted app after a few hours as there was no one into the same type of music as me. ### 1/5 — Not actually free, don’t waste your time *2025-02-18, version 1.0.40* They claim the app is free to get you to make an account, but once you do, they reveal that you can’t swipe or match with anyone without paying a monthly fee. Unlike virtually every dating app in existence where it’s free to use but restricts how many profiles you can see/like per day without upgrading to a paid membership, this app waits until after you go through the process of setting up a profile to reveal that you can view ZERO profiles and do literally nothing until you sign up for a monthly membership ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2024-10-21, version 1.0.39* The idea of the app sounds innovative but the same faces appear and the app never loads properly. Should be able to see evidence of more than one user in my age and location preferences before hitting the paywall screen. I’m not a Spotify user but was able to add artists and tracks to my profile no problem. I would like to edit the initial genres I am linked to. Does picking Tame Impala from a small handful of artists in the onboarding process mean I am forever a huge fan of “Australian psych”? So, your idea for an app based on music tastes intrigued me. Then I downloaded the app, and boy does it need work. Some ideas: - a button to go back to the last member. - option for more than three pictures. - area to write about yourself, favorite concert, recent concerts, bucket list concerts, etc. etc. - there are instructions to change your search radius, but it doesn’t work. - an option to share a song with someone or post your favorite song to your profile for other to listen to. - better options for searching such as members nearby (within ten miles), members with the same favorite artist, members attending a concert you have tickets for…so much you could do here. You have a great idea, please expand on it and make this app better. I don’t use Spotify music, I use Apple Music. The only thing I use Spotify music is for songs sent by friends who do use Spotify. Adding my Spotify account to Vinylly makes it show music I don’t listen to on the daily at all, let alone my favorite music and artists. If there is a way they can expand their list of supported music services (that includes Apple Music) then I’d definitely use this dating app more.
