Neue Firmware wird bei meine A199 Pro zuverlässig nicht erkannt. Zudem ist die deutsche Übersetzung weit entfernt von gut. ### 2/5 — Video Synthesis in Progress Problem *2026-06-11* My App no longer gives me access to my locked photos or videos. Whenever I try to review or delete one the App says video synthesis in progress. I hit OK and it closed the App. I used to be able to open, edit, delete, and save edited versions. Loaded the app, hooked it to WiFi, and every time I would connect to camera it would crash. I tried the help menu which works equally as well. It doesn’t matter what you type, it takes you to the same page 5 item suggestions that have no connection to the problem. I reinstalled the old app. Not great either but at least it works. Will be upgrading soon but will be looking for another brand. ### 1/5 — WiFi Disconnects *2026-06-03, version 1.0.5* Have a A329S and IPhone 15+, no matter 5ghz, 2.4ghz, disconnects while trying to play parking videos after 30 seconds. Old app works this is a POS. ### 2/5 — Slow and almost worthless *2026-05-18* This app is the worst app I own. Why even use it. Super slow and constantly having to restart. I can see my videos but they won’t playback. This app needs work. I’d give a 1 star but I’m hoping it gets better. If not I may return the camera for a better one. ### 4/5 — Decent! *2026-05-18* I use the A229 Ultra 3 Channel and I’ve had a pretty good experience with this app. The only gripe I have with it is that after every setting change you have to wait about 3-5 seconds for it to update before you’re able to change another setting. I wish you could just change multiple at once and then save the settings. I have not had any disconnection issues with the IPhone 16 Pro Max while using the camera. It only really happens if my phone decides to auto connect to my home WiFi if I’m in the vicinity of the connection. But I just disable auto connect if I’m near a known WiFi network that it will try to auto connect to. I like this app A LOT more than the original because you can do over the air updates now!! Downloaded this new version for the iPhone appears to connect to the a139 pro with a green checkmark but every time a tap on the Enter Dashcam cam just crashes the app over and over and over. Both viofo apps (this “dashcam” one, and the “viofo” app) suffer from terrible UI design, slow response times, and frequent bugs. For example, the app will randomly disconnect from the dashcam about once every 2 minutes, making it borderline unusable. The dashcam hardware works great, but the app is very rough. Overall, the app WILL let you use your dashcam, but it will be an infuriating experience as the software feels like it hasn’t been updated in decades. ### 3/5 — App crashes accessing media *2026-04-12* When connected via dashcam wifi, enter camera, tap album, the list displays video, parking impact files. Unreal how bad a dedicated app can be for the most top rated dashcams in the world. On popular dash cam review channels, I ask in the comments why a higher rated dash cam in reviews has a badly rated app compared to other high end dash cams. So far no responses. ### 1/5 — Poor app *2026-06-21* I’ve never felt the need to write a review on any of the apps I’ve placed on my iPad or my iPhone. I finally had to write it on this. Honestly, the older one worked OK. I installed this new one so that I could do OTA updates. Viofo should be embarrassed that they would put out such a poor application. I’ve tried every fix that I could find on the Internet and even head to Google AI find a couple that I did not and they all failed resolve the crashing when I try to get into the phone using the app. I’m able to connect to it, but then can’t do anything otherwise it crashes. Viofo advertises OTA updates along with being able to access the video, but sadly, this is not the case at least in my case. If I could write this less than one star I would. With the amount of cameras that they sell, you would think they could pay at least one software engineer to write a decent application ### 1/5 — Disconnects & crashes *2026-06-16* I should have looked at the app reviews before buying the dashcam. Die hat scheinbar keine Funktion. Menü an der Kamera nicht aufrufbar. Totaler unausgegorener Biligkram für viel Geld. Was able to connect to the dashcam very easily and view the live feed as well as download captured videos directly to the app. Only trouble I had was CarPlay was interfering with the connection. A lot of these negative reviews are misguided it seems You need to turn off Bluetooth on your phone if you have CarPlay or Android auto to keep WiFi stable. Your phone can only connect to one Wi-Fi device at a time. You shouldn’t be driving around with the Dashcam Wi-Fi on. You only turn it on when you want to make a settings change or download a video recording. You don’t drive around with the App open. ### 5/5 — Tut, was sie soll *2026-03-25* Okay, bestimmte Übersetzungen sind etwas unglücklich geraten, aber man weiß, was gemeint ist. Aber sonst: das Einstellungsmenü ist wesentlich besser gegliedert und übersichtlicher, als in der alten App. Die Verbindung zur Kamera ist stabil, man kann die Kameraeinstellungen exportieren und hat sie im Fall einer Neueinrichtung schnell bei der Hand. Die App ist übersichtlich und gibt keine Rätsel auf. Da es sich um eine Beta Version handelt, bin ich gespannt, was noch kommt. After two days trying, I called support and spoke with John. He explained that I was doing the hard way and that I just needed to grab the new App. Once installed and connected, the app immediately prompted me to update the firmware, and it just happened. This is a massive improvement, especially since I never got the firmware upgraded before.
