Instead, I received a report that lacked the transparency needed to make the data meaningful. Viome lists, gut microbes, and gene expression results without explaining whether they’re beneficial or harmful, what the levels are and what that actually means, or how they may relate to symptoms. When I requested the underlying interpretation, they refused to provide it. Their supplement recommendations also raised concerns. While some ingredients have evidence behind them, many appeared to be included in amounts below commonly recognized effective doses, making the products difficult to justify for the price. To make matters worse, their toothpaste and lozenges contain ingredients I actively avoid for microbial health, including Carrageenan, Stevia, gums, and emulsifiers. This company asks customers to trust its science while withholding the information needed to evaluate it. Save your money. Probiotics are great but the vitamins destroyed my sleep. After taking the ingredient and running through my mtfhr and comt genes i realized the biome don’t test that and the formula does not considers the mutations, it started running my mind and my sleep was destroyed l, it was rubbing my mind all night. I stopped the vitamins and after 3rd day my sleep was back to normal. Unfortunately I will have to cancel it. The level of sophistication via all the metrics is convincing while motivating. They make it real easy to get to precision nutrition and understanding with clear explanation as to why for me and my bio.. As soon as I exhaust my current supplements I will order the custom supplements made for uniquely for my bio system. I will be k the Tuesday Kick off call as I am just 2 working days in from receiving my results. One of the questions I will ask is can I export a report to give to my functional medicine doctor who is not even at this level of insights to my bio. Viome is certainly changing the game and the doctors are quickly falling behind even if they are FM doctors who just use extensive blood tests measuring 100 things. Viome is much much deeper then 100 metrics. ### 5/5 — I am a changed person!!! *2026-01-21, version 7.5.5* I refer to this app on a daily basis, I did the test about four months ago and did not order the supplements but have been following the food guidelines and feel like 1 million bucks. Then they give you generic recommendations. I will say what I am highly sensitive to but I was really disappointed in the process and how it was handled by the company. I started this in the beginning of June and they lost my samples. I had to do another whole test and they just gave me my results. The results are confusing, and it seems like recommendations are based upon certain information that I put in the questionnaire, such as having Sjogren’s disease which is an inflammation disease. I wonder if I didn’t put it in there with my results, or what my food recommendations would be. AI generated “insights” aka AI slop, and it’s a ploy to sell you supplements. *2026-01-31* This is a scam. They don’t give you your test results, and then recommend supplements that they sell to “fix” you. Also, they recommended food to me that I was allergic to (with blood tests from my doctor to prove it!). When I contacted customer service, they told me that I should have “reported it to them” in the onboarding quiz so they wouldn’t recommend food I was allergic to…which shows their tests are inaccurate. They don’t provide you any of the raw data from your tests, nor show you their analysis, despite my asking multiple times. On top of that, what you get in your dashboard is a bunch of AI generated insights, lists of foods, and supplements to buy for them to “fix” all your issues. How convenient that they sell the supplements for problems they diagnose you with, but don’t show you any results of your tests….DO NOT BUY VIOME, this is a total scam and you are better off using something like Function Health that gives you your results, or going to your doctor!
