## What is Vipe?

Meet new people, discover exciting events, and experience Munich in a whole new way — with Vipe.

Vipe is your social discovery app for Munich. Swipe through profiles and events near you, find people who share your interests, and never miss an event that's right for you.

Your personal AI assistant Kai knows your preferences and suggests matching events and people — so you find what you're looking for faster, without endless scrolling.

On the live map you see official Munich events and community events at a glance, color-coded by category. Whether it's a concert, a sports meetup, or a café date, you instantly see what's happening in your city.

Create your own events with date, category, and participant slots, and invite friends directly. Stay in touch with everyone through direct and group chats before, during, and after the event.

Your profile shows your hobbies, interests, photos, and the XP you've collected — so others know right away who you are and what makes you tick.

Your safety matters to us: with safe check-in, reporting, and blocking features you can always feel protected, wherever you meet in Munich.

Download Vipe now and rediscover Munich — with people and events that truly match you.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-01

Quieter notifications: Vipe now sends at most one suggestion per day, and only when the app is closed. It stays silent between 10 PM and 8 AM.

Reminders for events you joined now arrive reliably two hours and 30 minutes beforehand.

Kai speaks in a more natural, grown-up tone - no forced slang.

Distances are shown more precisely: under one kilometre in metres, above that in kilometres.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-29

• Fixed email confirmation: the link in the confirmation email now opens Vipe directly instead of an unknown website.
• Password reset now also works straight from the link in the email.
• Clearer error messages during sign-up.
• Fixed profile photo upload during onboarding.
• Event times are now shown correctly in Munich time.
