I downloaded the app, and upon opening it, there is a pop up message saying there is an updated version of the app to download, with a button that says, “update.” Tap on the update button and you’re taken to the App Store to download the exact same app. The only button option in the App Store is the familiar “open” button, indicating you’ve already downloaded the app. But you tap the open button anyway, because why not? The app opens and guess what comes next? A pop up message saying there is an updated version of the app to download, with a button that says, “update.” I’ll give you one guess what happens if you tap that “update” button. If you guessed the same process I just outlined then you win a prize. At least remove it from the App Store. Or give a new message that pops up. I was really hopeful and am really disappointed. Obviously, Viper Tec makes incredible knives and not apps. But in this day and age, the app says a lot about how a company sees its customers. Now EVERY TIME I open the app I get the “there is an update” warning. I click on it and it takes me to the App Store, where I find that I already have the most recent update. So I click “open” from the App Store only to go back to the app to find it telling me I need to download the update. I can’t get past the update warning to use the app. WTH !! Until that is fixed, 1 star.
