I tried for 15 days but SOLD OUT is the common theme. The passes for the next day are supposed to be available beginning at 4:00 pm on the current day. I tried at 4:01 pm, 4:15 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:00 pm, 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm with no luck on most days. If the issue is with the town not releasing the passes on time, the town is ultimately making this app look bad. I was also led to believe that the app was the only way to get passes only to find out that the town sells them at the beach also. ### 4/5 — Rain , rain go away *2020-08-11, version 1.13* Viply is awesome. Can’t control Mother Nature. Bought tickets to take family to Bradley beach and it started raining. Within 30 minutes of us calling customer service , Viply reimbursemed us because town closed beach for the day. Who does that in the year 2023? How do they not have an Apple Pay function? Even if they don't offer Apple Pay they still should have the scanner option for your credit card. They wasted so much energy on adding functions that require you to say that you realize the passes are nonrefundable. You'd think they'd throw a little bone toward making the app more user-friendly. If the purchasing experience is this unsatisfactory, I hate to imagine what's going to happen once the passes actually get on my phone, IF they get on my phone smh. ### 1/5 — Poor operation *2022-04-21, version 1.19* My beach community sells badges in two categories: adult and senior. If buying both types of badges, you must enter all your credit card info twice! Was this app written in 1998? Ever hear of shopping carts? ### 1/5 — Awful People *2021-06-07, version 1.13* I purchased beach badges in the first week of May, way before the season started, while it was still freezing to go to the beach. Since no beaches were open, the weather being awful, and since I just purchased them the day before, I asked if I could switch the beach, they said no refunds and couldn’t even help me. Why couldn’t I switch the beach when it was still snowing? Or why couldn’t I get a refund, so I can take that money to apply it to a different beach? Awful customer support/company/policy. It’s especially sweet when there’s a pandemic and your favorite beach releases 40 passes randomly the night before. You get to watch the ticket counts disappear as the App stutters and hiccups. ### 1/5 — Not accurate .. *2020-07-20, version 1.13* The app is no help. It’s beyond confusing and just always says “sold out” when trying to buy a beach pass. I try everyday to purchase a beach pass, no luck. Says the same thing everyday. So I guess every beach is at max cap everyday until the end of time. Tried to buy beach passes two weeks in a row at multiple beaches. Pass sales were suspended at sales time and even after refreshing multiple times within the subsequent hour, they were never made available to actually buy. Then a message appeared that they were sold out. Viply never communicated when sales that were delayed would be reopened. Tickets were not accessible to everyone. When I reached out to their customer service team, they responded with completely inaccurate facts about ticket availability which I refuted with screenshots. They basically forfeited any responsibility for the horrible functionality of their app. This app is a sham and truly needs to be improved before other municipalities and organizations partner with them. The app seems to offer convenience and clarity, but in reality deliver absolutely none. ### 1/5 — Really disappointing *2020-07-19, version 1.13* Went on at 6:25 (5 minutes early) to make a reservation for Asbury Park beach and it was already sold out. App said ticket sales for the beach were suspended because they were at capacity. Tickets aren’t suppose to go on sale until 6:30 pm the night before.. how were they sold out 5 m before tickets were supposed to go on sale? I had to call the restaurant where we made a reservation to have lunch and cancel.. the hostess mentioned that this happens to a lot of people... not cool Viply. We live 1.5 hours away not going to travel to the restaurant if we can’t enjoy the beach too... ruined our plans ### 1/5 — Worst app *2020-07-18, version 1.13* The app needs either an update or a refresh, it crashes and crashes and will not let you buy a pass! I see the number decreasing and not moving forward when tapping buy pass, it reloads over and over. The beach towns decide on the number of daily beach badges to sell each day and use VIPLY to sell and distribute those badges. I got the VIPLY app to get daily badges for our favorite beach for a planned vacation. On one of the days of vacation that was a perfect beach day, we were unable to get daily badges where we usually go. One family member started to whine that we could not go to our usual beach, but VIPLY is connected to other beach towns and we were willing to go on an adventure for that day out of the usual routine to a different beach. Even adults can learn to be flexible with changing plans thanks to this app! I wish all of the beaches in NJ would use VIPLY to simplify the search for available passes. So easy to use. Saves time finding passes at available beaches so I don’t waste time driving to a beach that does not use VIPLY to find badges already sold out before we got there. ### 5/5 — So easy to use *2020-08-15, version 1.13* Viply is a great app to buy beach passes for the Jersey Shore and it’s so easy to use!! Plus they have wonderful customer service.
