I get an error about 80% of the time ### 3/5 — I miss the old app functions *2025-03-20, version 4.0.2* I can’t view gifts anymore, and a lot of the app functions just don’t work and we can’t see them on the computer. I know they aren’t updating the app anymore but there are still teachers teaching and the company is still running. They should be supporting the teachers appropriately. ### 2/5 — Where is the student tab?? *2024-04-21, version 4.0.2* The new update is awful. Where did the student tab go?? I can’t see how many students have made me their teacher anymore, and I can’t send cards. I am a consistently booked teacher and part of that was because of my relationship building with new kiddos. I ALWAYS send a card after class. It is now a feature that I can’t find anywhere. The user face looks 10 steps backwards and the app blends in on my phone now that it is not bright orange. Not impressed. ### 2/5 — Used to be good *2023-11-27, version 3.38.1* The app used to function great. Now, there are so many bugs and issues. You can’t view cards/gifts from students. If you try to go to send a student a card, it logs you out. You can’t use stored passwords to log into the app; it immediately logs you back out. It’s so frustrating. Two stars because it lets me open bookings, shows me my class schedule, and sometimes shows my payment. ### 2/5 — I don’t like being on a waiting list *2023-06-14, version 3.38.0* Three days ago I applied and download the app, only to find out that you have no openings at present. However, what annoys me is that I still get daily notifications about completing some videos. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and the same thing happens. ### 1/5 — Misleading *2022-07-10* This app seems to have tons of issues yet it’s recommended by Dave Ramsey as something earn extra money, but this is false, the app eont even load completely, you cant go to desktop because it wants you to download the app that doesn’t work and this us a waste of time if this is how it will be working with this app, wifi or cellular network same issue but all if the other apps are fine. I will be submitting this in writing to dave ramsey admin so they can remove this information or be aware of the technical issues and instability of this app, so they are not promoting poor information. ### 1/5 — Not loading *2022-06-28, version 3.37.2* I cannot find contact information and the page says my info to do a lesson is pending. I click on it and it won’t load the materials. I have deleted the app, made another account and tried another device. When I attempt to complete the demo lesson, it won’t load either. I tap to retry and the same thing happens. No way to contact customer service. What’s the issue?? ### 4/5 — Under Construction *2022-01-10, version 3.36.0* Any idea when this will update for the International phase? ### 1/5 — New app doesn’t allow login *2021-11-27, version 3.36.0* It only says the app is “under maintenance “ ### 2/5 — Alarm and Notifications are Inconsistent *2021-07-24* Overall, the app can be useful; however, the most important features — notifications for short notice classes and the alarm 15 minutes before a class begins do not consistently work. This month, the notifications and alarm have failed multiple times, and I’ve needed to proactively check my schedule on both desktop and mobile to ensure I don’t miss a class. I received more than 1 teacher no-show due to no sounds/ alerts even though the phone was not on silent, the volume was at 100%, and I have the most updated version of the app. Losing this time and money (VIPKid charges you $10 for a no-show) is rather frustrating, especially since the technical difficulties are not my fault. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App Crashes *2025-07-22, version 4.0.2* App has many flaws and crashes when I try to look at booking. Sometimes, if I click a specific day it won’t load the link. Many of the features are also not functional like the calendar and gifts. Please fix the crashing. ### 1/5 — What happened? *2025-01-22, version 4.0.2* It used to work seemlessly and now it’s horribly laggy and has incredibly slow response times. Trying to open and close classes, something that used to take seconds, now can take minutes because it constantly needs to load and then refresh and reset the screen every time you toggle a class or a short notice toggle on or off. What is going on? ### 1/5 — Typical VIPKid lies *2024-09-23, version 4.0.2* I received an email stating if I jumped through certain hoops (certifying for a couple class types, opening slots, etc) I would get paid $9.50 per class in October 2024 for any classes I taught. I completed everything, but now VIPKid is saying I wasn’t accepted for the promotion and won’t get paid the additional amount. This is, of course, after students have booked classes on my schedule. Please don’t fall for these lies yourself. You can’t delete it through this app or online. It’s ridiculous. I’m pumped for this newest update! ### 5/5 — Phone App is Better Than Mac App *2019-08-19* VIPKid has obviously put more into developing the phone app than the computer app. You can only send cards, answer surveys from the company, and participate in promotional deals from the app on the phone. It works well, but I wish you could turn the phone sideways to see a small version of your schedule like it appears on the computer with the name of the child and the whole week shown. This week view gives me a better idea of how many classes I have to prepare for than how it is currently in the app. ### 5/5 — Alarm Settings *2019-06-29, version 3.9.0* Love the app! The only thing I wish it had was a louder alarm for upcoming classes. My phone shows that I have a class in 15 minutes, but there is no vibration or noise. Maybe I’m doing something wrong..? On my apple watch, the vibration is there so for now I’m wearing my apple watch to sleep in case I get a short notice booking. ### 5/5 — Just ONE Problem! *2019-06-25, version 3.9.0* The app is great. Both for my phone and iPad. The ONLY thing I would love to see changed is to somehow incorporate the week calendar in one screen.
