## What is Vird?

You already write things down. Vird is what happens next.

Point Vird at the folder your notes already live in. It reads a note and proposes a small number of question-and-answer cards drawn from what you actually wrote — the questions you left yourself, the terms you emphasised, the sentences that define something. Then it shows them back at widening intervals: a day, three days, a week, a month. Cards you keep getting right stop asking for your time. Cards you fumble come back tomorrow.

WHY IT IS NOT ANOTHER FLASHCARD APP
• It works from your own notes, not from a deck a stranger made.
• Card extraction runs on the device. No network is involved unless you switch it on.
• Your notes folder is opened read-only. Vird never writes to it, never renames anything, never uploads it.

THE OPTIONAL AI, AND EXACTLY WHERE IT STOPS
Turn on AI suggestions and supply your own provider key, and Vird can propose sharper cards. Only a note's title and a short excerpt are sent — never the body, never your tags, never another note. That boundary lives in a single function and is pinned by a test that asserts the exact set of fields allowed to leave. Add one and the build stops.

FREE
Review scheduling, CSV import, JSON export, local folder mirroring and up to 250 cards. The free version does not expire.

VIRD PLUS
Vird Plus removes the 250-card limit and enables optional AI suggestions. AI suggestions require your own provider key.

NO ACCOUNT
There is no Vird account, because there is no Vird server. No sign-up, no email, no analytics, no third-party tracking of any kind.

Vird Plus is an auto-renewing subscription charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
