It’s half with a black background, half overlapping the content. Fix the login. I shouldn’t need to use Booking Ref + Name + DOB. Why can’t I just use my email and a password? It’s a real pain having to look up the booking ref every time I open the app, because it NEVER keeps me logged in. If you want me to make payments, make it easier. The payment link takes me to an embedded page. This doesn’t work with my stored card details from safari, nor does it work with Apple Pay. When I switch to my online banking app to find my card number, on returning to the virgin app the page has refreshed and cleared the other fields I’ve already entered. Then when I have to authorise the payment from my banking app, when I return it just goes black screen for 90 seconds - no idea if payment has gone through or if I should quit the app. It’s 2026, your app should be Miles better than this. ### 2/5 — So much potential *2025-10-25, version 1.3.34* The designers of this app have neglected it. This has got so much potential but you can do hardly anything on it compared to other apps. No online check in option, no choose your seats option. Wouldn’t let me log in for a month after paying the deposit. Once logged in the payment function just doesn’t work; have to pay in whole ££, once you make a payment it crashes and doesn’t log any payment details for weeks. Which is all good to this point, unfortunately when you go back to the app to confirm you are faced with a black screen and no way to do this. Minimise the app and you can see the page but you can’t open it and engage with it. I’ve had to do everything by phone (long waits…) and staff response is “oh yes - the app is terrible!” 9 months on and exactly the same problem- unlikely to be resolved before the holiday now. Given how frequently the flight times have changed I’m terrified about missing the departure if it moves suddenly on the day ### 2/5 — Frustrating for making payments *2023-03-05, version 1.3.28* Good app for info and I like the countdown feature. AWFUL for making payments. Will only let you pay full amount and partial payments created an error page. Tried again today, no error page so feeling hopeful. Returning to the app after authentication of the payment, states ‘refreshing your booking’ then a black screen. Tried a few times but nothing!! Will have to go and do it in store or try the website which wants to direct you to the app. Virgin Red app is just as frustrating! ### 2/5 — Payment Problem *2023-03-03, version 1.3.28* Same problem experienced as others. I have iLhone 14 and after authenticating payment on banking app it goes to a blank screen and have to abort payment. Unfortunately this app seems to suffer from the same problems. Can’t believe the most current version is 2 years old, that’s a lifetime in technology. Making a payment is so poor. Why haven’t you got apple/google pay or at least the option to use a card in your digital wallet? I’ve tried to make a payment but once I return from my bank app to verify the transaction I return to a black screen. Refreshing doesn’t help. You can’t pay the outstanding pence on a balance unless paying in full. As soon as you tap it you see the count down to your holiday. You can make payments, check your balance, contact the company etc. I can’t fault it I think it’s great. The only bug is we booked 2 different cars but they both show the same vehicle with the same specifications and are named the same. Otherwise we are very happy with the layout.
