The content is rich and varied, from player interviews to game recaps. I appreciate how interactive it is; it’s not just reading, but engaging. The silence. It starts over, 2 to 3 minutes, start over. My Hokie Lights never connect. ### 2/5 — Video not supported on iPhone *2023-12-20, version 11.1.5* How in the world? App is clunky to begin with but then no video support for iPhone? Seriously? Really looks ok but navigating and lack of video for iPhone, as they say “bruh?” ### 1/5 — Applies to VT/UVA apps *2023-11-24* Since both VT and UVA are using the same app, with HORRIBLE login practices. Firstly, you must create an account with the app AND with the ticket service of each college. Already weird. Since both schools’ apps are made exactly the same, using the same service for both the app and the ticket service, you’d think the accounts you made for the first school would work for the second. Not so. So now I have a total of four accounts, one to log in to the VT app, one to log in to the UVA app, one to log in to VT’s ticket service, and one to log in to UVA’s ticket service. I hope that makers of this app aren’t going to become the standard for the ACC football or college sports as a whole unless they fix this. Can you imagine how asinine it would be to download another app and make two new accounts for every new college stadium you attend? ### 1/5 — Not helpful *2023-10-11, version 11.0.9* This app is not made very well at all! It would helpful to post a schedule of events, what colors for fans to wear, etc. for each sporting event. ### 4/5 — Why Make It So Difficult *2023-10-07* Used to go to the schedule, pick the upcoming game and on the game day page I could find how to watch, when to watch and other pertinent information. That is no longer the case, I have to hunt on different links for the game day information. Also, I am a season ticket holder who is fully on board with digital ticketing and how it works. I do not use my cell phone as my main internet device. I used to have the ability to at least look at my account and see if my season tickets had made it to my account while using my iPad and I could transfer tickets. All I get now is “use a mobile device”. Why do I have to use a cell phone to make any transactions on my account? This app is terribly un-user friendly when at one time it was my go to access to Hokie Sports. What happened to K.I.S.S.? I have deleted the app and will use the website. What a waste. ### 1/5 — Nonfunctional iPhone 13 mini *2023-09-09* Recorded podcasts show up in the audio section, but all other sections display either “no menu items” or “something went wrong”. I purchased tickets for my extended family for a football game tomorrow which apparently relies on this app to transfer. So… fairly frustrated at this point. ### 1/5 — Too Hard to Sell Tickets *2023-08-17, version iOS App 11.0.4* This app makes it extremely difficult to sell tickets on seat geek. When I click sell tickets on SeatGeek, I am asked to put in my email address. I am then told I will be sent an email with a verification code. I then check my email for the code and return to the app to use the code. At this point, the app returns to the manage my tickets screen. I then click on sell tickets on SeatGeek and again am asked for my email address. I put my email address in again and again am told I will be emailed a verification code. I paste in the original verification code, and that code doesn’t work, because it is not the code that goes with the most recent log in attempt. This process can be repeated an infinite number of times with the same outcome. The only way I am able to sell my tickets using the app link to Seat Geek is to use a second device to check my email. Please fix this problem. ### 1/5 — Crashing *2022-12-24, version 10.3.3* App will not keep me logged in to purchase or manage tickets. Crashes every time. This app just won’t open about 80% of the time. I’ve done ALL the due diligence; reloaded the app, rebooted the phone and on & on. I end up going straight to HokieSports.com . Really??? ### 1/5 — This app is an embarrassment. *2024-10-05* We have got to be the only college football division one program with such a poor app the audio constantly get stuck in a endless loop, it’s pathetic. Even on a brand new iPhone 16 this piece of garbage is riddled with flaws. No wonder our football program is going down the toilet when we can’t even get simple stuff like this right. 🙄 ### 1/5 — Find a new provider please *2024-10-03, version 12.0.5* This ap is difficult to maneuver and find information. ### 1/5 — Spent almost 40 minutes *2024-09-07* I just spent the last 40 minutes trying to get to my ticket for a VT football game, which I purchased months ago. They act like it’s so easy to use this app but the manage my tickets screen inexplicably crashed over and over and I had almost given up and just assumed that the almost $700 I spent would go to waste. I’m not sure why they gatekeep tickets like this, they should just email them or something. There is absolutely no reason why they would need to load them into this app that apparently runs on the power generated by a gerbil on a wheel. ### 1/5 — Terrible UE - Almost completely unusable *2024-08-08* Reviewing here because, among other things, there’s no help feature in the App. Almost every click requires you to log in again, and once you do you’re no closer to useful information than when you weren’t logged in. I love watching basketball and football, but I grew up playing volleyball, soccer, tennis, dive, and track and field, and this app has made it possible and easy to follow the Hokies in those sports as well.
