The bigger issue is the obvious AI art for the intro page, the marriage announcement pop up (the bride’s dress goes through the bench), the baby announcement (the mother has two thumbs on her right hand? And her left hand pinkie is weird) and other pop ups that are clearly AI. No one can afford it with only a $6 salary. If they’re not sick, then I have to hire an exterminator instead for this and that. It would be much better if I could choose the medicine based on what illness they have, like in the older Virtual Families games. Seriously. *2026-07-18* Before you read further, this game is a waste of time. This is ONLY, ONLY a short term game. Don’t spend a single PENNY on this game. DO NOT, no matter how “affordable” it sounds, you won’t get anything. Ive given this many tries after playing religiously all of the other games they have produced. For a game that tried to emphasize on “generations” they do a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE job. Families trees disappear completely after a generation, and your 50 year old virtual family member will still appear as a baby 1 generation later. They don’t offer refunds, and they are a SCAM!!!! Scam scam SCAM. No update to user interface once any kid is born, so you can’t go back and reflect on all your hard work and story building, because by the time the “natural” times passed, they are still a simple baby image, and they will get erased as soon as you make progress. this game is the worst is this entire lineup they have. Lazy developers. Don’t give them anymore money until they bother to fix it because they are LAZY!!!! Don’t release a game until it’s ready for your “customers” to enjoy. This was one of the best games ever, especially during covid. It was soothing, the music was wonderful, the textures on the grass wonderful, the sunlight peeking through after rain? EXQUISISTE. This new version is so flat, sooo soo flat, there is no charm, nothing that makes me feel like going through with the game. You reduced the hourly wage to 2 coins per hour??? Who does that?? You push for us to watch adds to get extra coins, honestly, this downfall was not expected. If you did want micro transactions in the games, you could have introduced packs like paranormal jobs, pay to join community, new type of house styles like gothic, beach or barbie, cute outfits, maybe open new locations like the beach or park or cafes. I’m sorry, you people are ruining your own treasure. Please go back to your original style and introduce packs that i am 1000% sure long time fans would be willing to buy. The art illustrations from previous games added so much to their charm, especially for virtual families. This game, however, feels soulless and lazy in comparison. There are some exciting new elements, but they are entirely overshadowed by the ugly AI illustration shown on the app icon and within the game. PLEASE consider hiring actual artists like you have in your earlier games, or at least remove the artificially generated images. They really take away from the player’s enjoyment and discourage use. Using AI images is like a slap in the face for all fans/players by the way! ### 1/5 — Repairs and outages. Progress completely wiped out *2026-06-03* The fact that when something is broken you’re not allowed to edit your home it’s disgusting. You’re stuck behind a paywall. You are stuck with three options, buy a maintenance man, pay £2 for a weekly subscription or fix it yourself for an ever changing success rate. I have been unable to play my game properly for 3 days because I cannot fix a fly infestation. You won’t get me to buy anything I’ll just stop playing because there are more enjoyable games out there, like solitaire and sodoku who don’t lock things behind paywalls. I usually get bored of games after a while but v families is one of the only ones I have been playing for years. Unfortunately this game is a little disappointing. Pros- The woman can now still work on her career after she has a baby. There is more room layout options. The characters look a little more realistic. The kids come back and visit and have kids themselves after you marry them off. You don’t have to buy groceries which is in the middle. The kids don’t leave until you marry them off. Once you buy an item you have an unlimited amount of it. Cons: There’s not a whole lot of goals in the game or events like their used to be. You can’t make a character work on their career and they make coins super slowly. It seems the main purpose of this game is solely to log in, make them have kids, feed them, make them bathe and sleep. All of their bars go down super fast when you’re logged in. I could make them eat be at 100% and all of their sudden 2 minutes later they’re back at 60%. Especially with energy levels, you get them up then they do something like shower or eat suddenly they’re at 0 energy and I haven’t ever been able to get them past 70% as they stop napping at that point and nothing you do changes it in a positive direction. You can’t have 12 kids anymore. The contests make no sense half the time. Recently there was a dog and cat contest when you can’t even have pets on the game (another con). Another theme one was the daredevil contest. The most “daring” thing they can do is jump on the bed. Half of the entries make no sense because of the theme so you just vote for whoever one decorated their house better. The inventory options arepoorly organized there’s no way to just see what you have all in one and the tab is tiny. I wish you could see it all like before. The family tree is always glitchy and you can’t see any of your past generations or your current one clearly. Everything costs a lot of coins and you make very few. You can’t start a new generation until all of their kids are grown up so sometimes your oldest will be 40 at that point. You also can’t control how much they spend. The game takes money; every time you’re away Im assuming bills or groceries but unless you watch an add it subtracts from your total a decent amount probably about half of your earnings. I wish I was in control of all the spending like before. The community room doesn’t work for me and I’m not really sure the point of the community option. They just walk around, you can’t start visit peoples houses and “chat” with neighbors but there’s nothing really to do. All in all this game basically consists of you just feeding and bathing them, making them sleep over and over. Not a lot of fun goals. It’s also very rare to find collectibles. You can’t see which ones you have either or sell them for money. Also when it comes to rearranging the rooms you can’t rotate them or move doorways which makes for some awkward configurations. The “flea market” is no longer fun cheap stuff it’s items that cost thousands of dollars there’s no more career books or baby boost, perfume etc Theres a lot less career options too they only make about 2-10 coins max per the game day. I completed all the other games and ended up having money to spare but I’m not sure how that would be possible here. Theres a lot of outages that cost thousands to fix- hack just have them try over and over until they have fix it themselves. It seems they tried to somewhat carry over the storyline about the ghost but it seems like the game glitches and it only half does it. I haven’t found collectibles for weeks and I’m on it regularly. I’m hoping the creators make some changes soon because as it is this game doesn’t have much substance and there’s a lot of gaps.
