Overall the game is enjoyable and I like it just fine... but during the statue repair, it got stuck at the top of the hill and I can’t get my chief or any of my master builders to continue. I looked it up and apparently lots of people have had this issue... yet it wasn’t fixed. Not cool! I had almost finished all the puzzles. I don’t want to start over just to get this far and it get stuck again. ### 4/5 — Great story line, but keeps randomly restarting my village. *2019-05-11, version 1.3.1* I’ve always loved these games, I grew up playing them, so when I found them on the App Store I was more than thrilled! The development of the series has been very enjoyable. After completing the first two I was excited to start the 3rd. However after I had finally gotten my village stable, techs unlocked, population growing, etc. I closed the app and when I came back my village was gone and it had started over?? I’m now back at 8 villagers with no tech nor collectibles. This has happened a few times now and it’s making it hard wanting to continue playing. ### 3/5 — Love it *2018-11-04, version 1.3.1* I love this game! I love this series! I've played them multiple times on my iPod touch. I went to redownload the games again, and this one was the only one that wouldn't. I kept getting a message that the game wasn't compatible. Ummmm..... My iPod touch hasn't changed. I've downloaded it before. And now it won't let me...? 😤😞 That's SUPER disappointing!! The others downloaded. So why just this one?? That doesn't make sense. Other than that... The puzzles are so hard to figure out, nothing intuitive about them. My games now also got a bug where any time I move a villager anywhere it says 'ouch...' and the villager runs off :-( ### 2/5 — Fix problem *2016-09-13, version 1.1.1* This game was enjoyable, watching the generation of villagers thru the life cycle. The puzzles were difficult but easy to find hints online, if needed. The big problem I had was the last fifteen babies born in my village were males. Because of this my villagers could not reproduce and they all died off. I contacted support for the game. All they could tell me is that there were events that happen daily and one might produce additional children. Nope, that didn't happen. At a certain point in the game the pearl in the clam always disappears and it all of a sudden becomes very hard to assign tasks and pick up items. Love this game to play on downtime but this glitch is making it boring because I can never develop my village. People keep refusing to do a task and wander off worried about food and you can’t make enough points to buy construction level 1 to build the lift and it’s impossible to get three adept builders when you need them to get points in science and two are kids and one has a baby! You’re doomed from the start. Id like to know if anyone gets past the first 48 hours alive. ### 1/5 — Entire save reset *2025-02-23, version 1.3.1* Absolutely devastated, been playing daily for weeks almost completed the game only to be met with when I went to check how my villagers were doing entire save was gone and it’s wiped everything. Don’t waste your time on a game the developers don’t care to update you’ll work so hard getting all your tech points and completing all the puzzles ect just for one day everything to be gone and to be put back to the start of the game. Each time it crashes it goes back about 5 minutes or so. I feel quite upset that I lost one of my little people in such a stupid way. As someone else has said, there are too many glitches for a game we paid to play. This being said, these virtual villager/families games were a big part of my childhood on the PC and I love playing them today on IOS. I'd hate to see their performance impacted in any way because of an update. I played it extensively a few years ago, and my sister and I actually finished most of the puzzles before we accidentally deleted the game. Now, if one troublemaking kid is bothering you, drag them to the top right corner of the screen in the ocean. I've noticed that they'll be trapped there and can't move. I have also found similar spots in some other VV/VF games, like on top of one of the toxic waste barrels in VF Our Dream House.
