## What is VirtualRoom?

This application simulates the acoustics of a room and reproduces the sound signals for the two ears of a virtual listener inside the room. Listening to these signals using headphones gives the impression of being inside the room at the position of the listener. The positions of the sound sources and the listener can be modified in realtime.

I was caught off guard when I put my headphones on and used the app. Never thought an app could reproduce real life sound like this does. Take 5 minutes to try it and you will be like me showing your friends the app and see the reaction.

Tried this and found that what I actually wanted to check out only came with the pro version. So, I fired off an e-Mail to the developers. Just a simple question. Two weeks later they're still out to lunch.

This is exactly what all plug-in makers have failed to make thus far. I don't understand why no one has yet made anything to model real acoustic spaces with binaural modeling. It's usually binaural with faked space via standard reverb model that has nothing to do with an actual real space.

Please turn this into a plugin on iOS and Mac OS!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt it necessary in this case. 
This is an amazing, well made app that really does give you the sense of the directional acoustics of being in a room with regards to its sound samples. Remember to use headphones. 
Very impressed. 
Hope to see more by the creator.

Binaural audio is perhaps the most underused and underrated technology available and anyone who raises its profile is a saint to me.

I cant wait until this sort of thing reachea horror gaming and 3D cinemas. Fun app!

I was sitting on the bus when I first downloaded this and when I turned on the match noise I seriously thought there was a weird noise on the bus that everyone could hear! The room simulation is both amazing and impressive. I'm musician and a budding acoustical engineer. Please add more to the app!! Great work! :)

I am not convinced that a proper dummy head has been implemented : the sound sounds identical from front dead centre to rear dead centre.
The ears are directed forwards, so they perceived sound front to back should differ slightly. It doesn't seem to.

Very reminiscent of the Sennheiser dummy head demo EP of the 1960's, or Alans Psychedelic Breakfast by Pink Floyd, but perhaps not quite as good as a real dummy head recording.
