## What is Visibox Remote?

Visibox Remote turns your phone or tablet into a wireless control surface for Visibox, the live visuals playback app for Mac and Windows.

Walk away from the laptop. Trigger clips, run the setlist, and see what is on screen from anywhere in the room.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Browse the show's songs and clips as a thumbnail grid
• Trigger any clip with a tap
• Step through the setlist with next and previous
• See what is playing now, with live progress
• Control output volume, mute, and fullscreen
• Find your computer automatically, with no IP addresses to type

BUILT FOR THE ROOM
• Large touch targets that work in the dark, mid-show
• Phone and tablet layouts, portrait and landscape
• Keeps the screen awake while you are running a show
• Reconnects on its own when the Wi-Fi hiccups

TRY IT WITHOUT A COMPUTER
Tap "Explore the demo" on the pairing screen to browse a complete sample show — songs, clips, transport, and output controls — with no setup and no connection required.

REQUIREMENTS
Visibox Remote is a companion app. To control a real show you need:
• Visibox 6.0 or later running on a Mac or Windows computer
• A Visibox Pro plan, which includes the Remote Control API
• Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network

Visibox Remote does not play video on your phone. It controls the computer that does.

Visibox Remote collects no data. It talks only to the Visibox on your own network, and nothing leaves it.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 6.0.1 — 2026-10-30

Lyrics on stage (Beta): follow the current song's lyrics and chords line by line as it plays. Seek through the song and switch to a full view, right from the Remote. Turn on Beta features in Visibox 6.0.1 or later to use it.

Also new:
• Your screen stays awake during a show.
• Clip thumbnails show filters, effects, flip and rotate.
• Every connection screen now has a way back if pairing stalls.
• Less network and battery use while idle.
• Seeking works for songs whose only clip is audio.

### 6.0.0 — 2026-10-22
