The official VisitGuernsey app features a range of walking, cycling and driving routes, plus swimming guides to our beaches and bays, to help you explore The Islands of Guernsey. Whether it's the rugged south coast cliff paths and hidden bays, the long sweeping beaches of the west, exploring our archipelago or uncovering the historic past of the island's capital, the islands have much to offer.

The wild swimming guides allow you to find your ideal swimming spots across our islands depending on weather conditions, location and tide times. Each guide details how to get to the bay, facilities information, swimming guidance and other activities you can explore at your swim location. With local tips and insight, these guides will help you see the islands from a new perspective.

Each route includes directions to the starting point, estimated time and difficulty. The map interface helps you navigate trails and waypoints - where you can learn more about the islands through imagery and video content, and also discover nearby eateries and activities. We downloaded this specifically as a guide to dog friendly beaches and found information inaccurate. Luckily we checked on a .gov site before traveling to Belvoir Beach! 
The distance quoted on the walk we chose was also massively out by about 3km so we had to work out a short cut home with tired children. 
Can’t be relied on.

Finally a destination has developed an app that is super easy to use and navigate for first time visitors to an area. We loved using it. Congrats to the designers.

I downloaded this app to try some of the walks. Unfortunately the map just appears blank with the route but no details of places/roads/landmarks. This makes it totally useless.
