## What is VISIT?

The Chapter of TORTOSA CATHEDRAL welcomes you to one of the notable examples of Catalan Gothic architecture.

We hope you discover the extraordinary heritage of Tortosa Cathedral during your visit, exploring its PERMANENT EXHIBITION, CLOISTER, and the interior of the CATHEDRAL. For this purpose, we provide you with a 100% VISUAL MULTIMEDIA GUIDE on your own mobile device, which will simply and intuitively indicate:
> What you must not miss.
> Where to look.
> What each work of art is, and who is who in each piece you contemplate.

The CATHEDRAL you are now visiting is situated in the heart of TORTOSA, on the banks of the River Ebro, where, according to some historians, there once stood a Roman temple, later a Visigothic basilica, and during the Muslim expansion, a mosque.

After the Christian conquest, a Romanesque cathedral was built, which would be the most immediate predecessor of the current Gothic cathedral we now behold. This began with the apse in the 14th century and was completed with the Baroque façade in the 18th century.
