## What is Visual Attention Therapy Lite?

Visual Attention Therapy helps brain injury and stroke survivors, as well as struggling students, to improve scanning abilities. It also helps rehab professionals to assess for neglect and provide more efficient and effective therapy for attention deficits.

Visual Attention Therapy Lite gives you a free taste of the customization and utility of the full app: Visual Attention Therapy. This lite version lets you try Test and Practice modes with one level and layout, but is otherwise a fully functional app, allowing you to try 1 or 2 targets, all the signal and target colors and styles, and send e-mail reports.

Practicing scanning from left to right across a page helps retrain the brain to move the eyes correctly. Strengthening this essential skill can improve reading, concentration, memory, attention to detail, and speed of processing. Using two targets at once can help users with working memory and alternating attention.

1) Use the Test mode to help determine if a scanning or attention deficit exists.
2) Use the Practice mode to train scanning to find targets in order.

CANCELLATION TASKS JUST GOT BETTER

This professional cognitive training app takes traditional cancellation exercises, the evidence-based standard for testing and treating visuospatial neglect, and enhances them with benefits that are only available through technology:

* Targets must be tapped from left to right, top to bottom in Practice mode, training users to slow down and scan the entire screen before they can move forward.
* Sidebar signal can flash in a variety of colors to draw attention to the left or right.
* Auditory and a variety of visual cues give instant feedback and keep users engaged.
* Timed exercises increase motivation to work quickly and accurately.
* No need to spend time counting errors. Automated scoring includes data for accuracy by quadrant, time for completion, and mistakes in professional e-mailed reports.
* Adjustable layouts and 10 levels of difficulty allow you to customize the experience to meet changing needs or multiple users.
* An endless variety of combinations eliminates the need to photocopy exercises and saves paper.

Visual Attention Therapy was developed by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and is used worldwide by SLPs, occupational therapists, vision specialists, and neuropsychologists to help adults and children with dyslexia, dementia, and attentional deficits.

People of all ages enjoy racing against the clock to challenge themselves to improve on their scores while improving their cognitive and reading skills. Levels featuring letters can support literacy goals, while symbol-based levels challenge visual memory skills.

### 4/5 — Vision therapy

*2023-01-07*

Enjoyed Lite version despite not being able to go past finding the two letters.Didn’t care having to back home to do an exercise. The app should be one in which the user can go to the next test. 5-stars for the test, 2-stars for not having a flow from test to the next, going back o home.

**Developer response:** We're glad to hear you enjoyed the free Lite version of the app! In the full version, you don't have to go back home - you can do multiple trials in a row. If you're using it regularly, please consider purchasing the full app for the most options and benefit. Thanks for the feedback!

### 1/5 — Free version is garbage

*2022-12-10*

I have no idea what the paid version is like since the free version is garbage and I deleted it

**Developer response:** Hi, I'm sorry you didn't like the free app. If you have any specific feedback about what you didn't like about it, we'd be happy to receive it and reply. You can contact us at support@tactustherapy.com

### 5/5 — Great app

### 5/5 — Stroke survivor 1

*2020-07-13*

Easy to use and helpful way to start on your own!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review, we're glad you're finding the app helpful. Please let us know if you have any questions.

### 2/5 — Too lite

*2017-11-08*

I understand that this is a light version of this app. However you can’t try any of the features other than the basic ones. It would be nice to be able to see more of what the app could do. Been able to view a couple of the other pages would help in deciding whether or not this would be a good app to use with some of my clients who have reading issues

### 2/5 — Practice Mode does not work correct

*2013-12-27*

The Test Mode works fine, but the Practice Mode does not. Even when I hit the correct letter, the App doesn't recognize it.

**Developer response:** For fast technical support, please email us at info@tactustherapy.com. The practice mode requires you to hit each target in order, from left to right and top to bottom. We have added further instructions to the app to help users understand how it works.

### 4/5 — Great Vision Therapy Tool

*2012-12-12*

My son was in vision therapy for two years for tracking and convergence issues. Lots of boring excersizes.... This app sure would have spiced things up. I love that you can customize the difficulty.

### 5/5 — great app

*2012-12-11*

The lite version shows what the paid app can do - the paid version has simpler and more complex versions. Give this a try, and if you like it, the paid version is worth the price.

### 5/5 — Another great app!

*2012-09-29*

I really like this app for both my elementary aged students and my geriatric patients! It is wonderful for focus and attention and a great tool for hemispheric neglect. The developers are wonderful and are always so great with responding to feedback! My only request for this app is larger font so my geriatric patients could more easily utilize this for hemispheric neglect therapy. Overall, wonderful and worth the money for the full app!
