### 2/5 — Eh

*2018-03-06, version 11.1*

For free, its a nice looking text editor, but you have to pay to do anything else?

I’d be willing to try and make one of these myself to run entirely free, this is such a simple app, yet coders would be totally in love with it if it were free.

I think the idea is great, but the application (pun) of the idea is laking. There is so much that can be done here, this can really go far, you’ve got a great foundation.

Contact me for free ideas? Lol I’d love to help give ideas and new coding if you all wanted it, this is something i would use daily, and if i can help make this better I’d be all for it!

### 1/5 — One run?

*2016-09-03, version 9.0*

You can't even experiment!!

### 1/5 — Just one run?!?!

*2016-08-17, version 9.0*

So, thinking that I would have VB on my phone, I downloading this app. But I then figured out, that I could only launch a program ONCE. How does this make sense? What if you made something which took for forever and did not know you can run a program ONCE. -1000/10

### 1/5 — How

*2015-08-16*

How do I position and use visual controls - buttons, list boxes, text input fields, radio buttons etc.?

Can I edit data with a text editor like notebook and import it to VB?

When I enter a class name and a . does the editor list all the methods available for the class?

Will it edit existing old VB source files?

**Developer response:** Graphics, network and file system are not supported.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2015-04-17*

You can't actually run any of your own programs without buy in app purchases.
Then the programs you can create with it are not interactive (it compiles and runs the entire code before providing a final output, meaning no user input can be created).
Furthermore it has very little comparability with other Visual Basic IDEs and so any programs you write here have to be substantially changed before they can work in Visual Studio.
Do not buy.

**Developer response:** Despite all limitations it's wonderful to have such application on a mobile device!

### 1/5 — Poor

*2015-03-04*

Wants 79p for 100 compilations yet this program does not understand simple logic. For x = 100 To 1 Step -1 did not work... Come on man.

**Developer response:** You can buy unlimited compilations package and never pay per compilation.

### 1/5 — Not .vb instead C

*2015-02-26, version 7.1*

The application does not write .vb instead it writes C# and you have to pay to compile the program

**Developer response:** Can you explain what exactly do you mean?

### 1/5 — absolute waste of time.

*2014-12-30*

this is the biggest waste of time you might As well have made the app 1.99 instead of making it free but having to pay to use it. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
id rate less than 1 star if i could

**Developer response:** Just buy it and use as much as you want!

### 1/5 — Rip off!!!!!

*2014-11-27*

A good app until you discover you can't compile and run the programs unless you BUY compilations. You are getting NOTHING by downloading the app until you buy the right to use it.

**Developer response:** Unfortunately, we can't offer free compilations with the application.

### 1/5 — Only one run!

*2014-11-16*

App only allows ONE single compile/run and then wants payment for more. Useless. Don't call it free when it's not!

**Developer response:** You can try application for free before buy it.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2014-01-24, version 4.2*

It's not working. I wrote a very simple code and did't worked. Also i tried to copy my code and i couldn't..

### 1/5 — Useless

*2013-10-13*

What else is there to say

**Developer response:** Please provide more details about your opinion.

### 1/5 — False Hope

*2013-10-07, version 3.8*

If you wish to make programs, now is not the time. The constant purchases needed to compile programs is useless... Don't use this app, as it is just another greedy, heartless app mention only to take your money with in-app purchases.

**Developer response:** You can buy unlimited compilations package and use the application to compile your own programs as much as you want!

### 1/5 — Rating don't lie

*2013-07-15, version 3.3*

It's rated low for a reason. I had some hope, wanted it to work.. Would have been nice and convenient, but the ratings don't lie. Too bad this is the only one on the App Store.

**Developer response:** Please describe your problem so we could assist you.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — totally doesn't work

*2020-03-25, version 13.0*

This compiler can't even run a simple line like a=inputbox("a number"), which prompted a screen full of error messages.

REFUND!

### 1/5 — You want money lol

*2019-11-21*

Im not paying, why would I? VISUAL STUDIO IS FREE

### 1/5 — Not Visual Basic , vB .net

*2019-10-11*

Really quite limited, uses Microsoft’s pages for reference(illegally I assume) not a true free program in any sense except to download.
Will be reporting it to MS for copyright infringement.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2019-07-17, version 12.0*

I bought it to mess around with. Did 3 or 4 compiles and suddenly I have to pay for more compiles! Forget it!

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2018-12-21, version 11.1*

Text editor only. If you want to run anything, you have to pay a fee. Just not worth it.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2018-10-19, version 11.1*

Unless you are new or just want to write a small amount of code. It is not worth it. You have a set amount line you can right. So good luck without spending cash.

### 1/5 — Not even one star.

*2018-05-29, version 11.1*

The developer clearly put no effort into this app. This app is no substitute for Microsoft.

### 1/5 — Have to pay

*2017-09-22*

Dont be fooled, you have to pay to use this. Even though I’m telling you this you’re still gonna download it just to check, aren’t you?

**Developer response:** Unfortunately, we can't offer free compilations.

### 1/5 — Terrible don't get it

*2017-04-08*

A waste of bandwidth

**Developer response:** Please explain your opinion in details.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2017-02-16, version 9.0*

The app only lets your run your code one time without purchases, but even outside of that the app is pretty terrible anyway. Save your time and your money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — iPad version

*2017-04-26, version 9.0*

A quick way to learn VB

### 5/5 — Counter intuitive

*2017-03-14, version 9.0*

Code does compile. For some reason the language developer doesn't have the default code run without errors.

You have to hit file then choose the hello world application.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2014-05-03, version 4.5*

I am writing a compiler that targets many languages and this app is ideal for my purposes. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2013-09-19, version 3.8*

Thanks to this app I learned how to program

### 5/5 — Good

*2013-06-02, version 3.3*

Only one programming tool on Visual Basic on App Store.

### 5/5 — Very dumb

*2012-04-26, version 1.8*

This is useless. The help is terrible, since it references another compiler (visual studio 2010). I can't figure out how to save the code. And there are very little instruction on how to publish to the public.

### 5/5 — Not bad!

*2012-01-17, version 1.3*

I see no problems so far so great!!!

### 3/5 — Just alright.

*2015-10-06, version 7.5*

It works. And on the go, it is pretty handy. Just a few suggestions. Put a tab button on the keyboard, or at least somewhere. It would make things so much easier. Also make it so the screen scrolls as you're writing. Code ends up moving to the next line. Other than that it's simple and straight to the point.

### 3/5 — Good for ideas

*2015-05-31*

I use this to jot down ideas on the go, it is great for this not for creating a program on, that should really be done on a computer anyway.
What would make it that little bit better is to include an tab/indentation button as i find myself pressing the space bar 5 times

### 3/5 — Help?

*2012-09-23, version 2.1*

I bought this and having a small issue. I can't get the keyboard to popup. Is there something I have to include in the code? Please help.
