## What is Visual EQ Console AUv3 Plugin?

This is an AUv3 compatible effect plugin which is intended for use inside your favourite DAW such as Cubasis, Auria, Meteor, AUM or GarageBand etc.

Visual EQ Console is a studio quality multi-band EQ console with the ability to analyse audio in real time giving an accurate and reliable spectrum representation of the frequency response. 

It includes your typical set of 4 parametric filters which are stable even when parameters are being changed. We also include low and high shelf as well as low and high pass filters, that's 10 filters in all.

We use a high quality highly hardware optimised FFT to plot the frequency response through the filters so you can see exactly what effect your changes are having on the sound. The scrolling interface automatically adjusts to the hosts window size to allow a double height display in an appropriate DAW.

One of the main problems with most Studio type EQ's is they don't give a true representation of the frequency response, often hiding the inpact of low and high pass / shelf filters on the frequency response. This plugin accurately tracks the response all the way through the audio chain and is backed up by the spectrum analyser so you can be confident that it is having the desired effect.  

We also include a Compressor / Limiter section to ensure those settings never get too aggressive. 

You can load and save custom console presets as well as copy and paste settngs between instances. This is great if you need to setup multiple instances with the same settings.

Plenty of options are tucked away under the hood so as not to clutter the display.

### 1/5 — After a while it resets and my mix gets fd up

I use it on almost every track. But magically, after sometime, whenever i open it on a track on cubasis. All the settings go back to 0. I use cubasis 3 and it only happens on this plugin. All other plugins remain te way i left them. This is really a huge time setback. Shame on you 4 pockets

**Developer response:** I need to investigate this. Cubasis constantly change things in their DAW that cause issues with plugins and I wasn't aware there was anything wrong until now. I will guarentee it works fine under AUM, GarageBand etc. It's always under Cubasis we have issues like this.

When I go into the Audio unit extension section in GarageBand to add this to an instrument it’s not showing up there.

**Developer response:** You are probably looking in the wrong place for the plugins or need a reboot of your iPad. On occasions this happens with AUv3's when they don't register themselves properly. A reboot always fixes this and all AUv3's are re-scanned. You need to look in PLUG-INS & EQ, click Edit, tap on an unused slot (NONE), click Audio Unit Extensions from the menu, and then choose the plugin from here.

The combination of a frequency analyzer, parametric EQ *and* a decent compressor in a single package makes this a great value. I’ve almost completely transitioned away from amps & pedals, now using AUM on iPad & a powered FRFR speaker, so high quality AUV3 signal processing plugins are critical to my “rig.”

Very pleased with this one!!

Love the eq - running on a master bus in AUM.  

If I get a call or disconnect my audio interface while a session is active the audio stops - I get a low “thump thump thump” until I disable the eq.  I have to close and reopen AUM to get everything back.  

Other apps don’t seem to have issues like this.  Again tho it’s an great sounding eq and the built in comp is a plus.

I love the visual EQ in GarageBand however it seriously limits your control, I mean who only needs low pass, high pass, and one band? This app fills in the missing pieces while still giving you the visuals. If you are using it with GarageBand remember to click the two arrows to make it “full screen” if you want to see the visual part of the EQ and then click the waveform icon to see the analyzer!

The app support link does not take me to a place I can ask questions or fill in a feedback form, just the main page of a company that provides online services.

Hopefully fixed the issue with Cubasis where it was loosing its settings between launches on occasions. Although personally I couldn't reproduce the issue myself, I've tested this on several recent devices and everything appears to be working well for me.
