AAC and visual support app designed specifically for iPhone and iPad users, supporting individuals with autism, speech delays, and developmental disabilities.

Visuals2Go Next is a flexible communication and learning tool created for parents, teachers, and therapists to foster functional communication, literacy, and independence. Developed by a special educator in collaboration with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, behaviour therapists, school counsellors, and families, it’s trusted globally for real-life support on iOS devices.

### 1.1.22 — 2026-08-18

• Print: locked templates now open a live layout preview with a Subscribe option, instead of jumping straight to the paywall.
• Print: the free-user watermark now tiles across the full page so exports look consistent.
• Camera: landscape photos taken for a card keep the full landscape image (no unwanted square crop).
• Cards: drag-to-reorder on Home is more stable, and album search results rank more usefully.
• Search: typing shows a temporary text-only card first — add it to the Sentence Bar, or open it large when the bar is closed (not saved to your library).
• Sentence bar: text-only cards show the title correctly in the strip — no grey box with text sitting underneath.
• Settings → Interface: option to show or hide Recent Albums.
• YouTube on Add Card: the Type field stays visible while you search or paste a link, and thumbnails download more reliably.
• Toasts inside modals (Add Card, Settings, and similar) now appear as compact chips in the top-left of the modal so they don’t cover Save/Cancel.
• Image editor: Crop is available again when editing an image (including after swiping back to Home and reopening edit).
• Product analytics (Amplitude) tracks key actions across the app so we can improve the experience — login, profiles, cards, sentence bar, library, print, backup, and subscriptions.
• Text-only cards: Expand Card, search expand, print, and related thumbnails show a centred title only — no grey dummy image band above the name.
• Album and Core Words search: results that start with your letters come first (A–Z), then matches where the letters appear inside the word — so searching “c” shows catch and clap before black.

Fixes
1. Login button spinner stays on until subscription checks and profile setup finish — no empty pause after the spinner stops.
2. Subscription expiry banner on Profile Select only appears within 7 days of the end date, or after expiry (not months ahead for cancelled plans). Dismiss lasts for the current app session.
3. Store-review and daily backup modals no longer stack in a way that leaves the screen untouchable after closing review.
4. Handled backup upload errors no longer flash a red error screen that looked like a crash.

Updates
1. Text-only cards: titles use dynamic font sizing and wrap properly on Home, Choice Board, and Core Words (up to 4 lines on phone, 5 on iPad) instead of clipping on one line.
2. Short 1–2 word text-only titles use a smaller size so they don’t dominate the grid.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-07-28

Fixes: Settings → Card → Text-only cards now hides the image completely (no placeholder) and centers the title on the card.
Turning Text-only cards off restores the normal image and title layout on Home, Choice Board, Core Words, Expand Card, and Auto-close preview.

### 1.1.13 — 2026-07-20

Fixes:
1. Editing a card title on Expand Card now speaks the new wording right away
2. Longer titles speak fully when an older short phonetic was still saved
3. Creating a new profile works again when saved user data was missing or out of sync
4. Settings save more reliably when some options were missing after an update
5. Signing in again is less likely to lose your local profile list when profile data is still on the device
6. Opening the profile database after an update no longer hits an incompatible older database version (could block login or creating profiles on some iPads)

Updates:
1. Free users can preview online Library albums before downloading
2. Sharing cards or albums from Home uploads camera and gallery photos first so they import correctly on another device
3. Share progress shows clearer status (preparing, uploading each photo, then publishing the code)
4. If some photos can’t upload, you still get the share code with a warning
5. Premium: Auto-backup is on by default — once a day when you open the app it saves a local backup and uploads it to the cloud (turn off in Settings → Backup)
6. Premium: Logout can back up to the cloud first (Back up & logout), then sign you out
7. If profiles are missing after sign-in, Premium users can restore from their latest backup in one tap
8. Choice Board icon matches the intended design more closely
9. Keyboard dismisses when quick-adding from search
10. Bottom edit toolbar shows a clearer scroll hint for off-screen actions
11. Tutorial breadcrumb position is steadier on screen

Fixes
1. Photos and album pictures stay after app updates more reliably.
2. Profile photos recover correctly after updates.
3. Shared profiles include your custom card photos on the other device.
4. Sharing no longer warns about pictures that aren’t real cards (like album covers or the profile photo).
5. Fewer false “couldn’t upload” messages when sharing — photos that do arrive are reported more accurately.
6. Sharing and importing on iPad is more stable; Edit Profile can’t be closed mid-share (helps avoid freezes).
7. Backup restore is more reliable, including older backups.
8. The missing-media message is limited to the profile you’re using, and is less likely to flag media that’s still on the device.
9. If you re-add a photo, you’re told if Sentence bar, Saved sentences, History, or Print may still look blank.
10. YouTube plays more reliably on Android and closes cleanly on iPad.
11. Adding a search result to the sentence bar no longer freezes on iPad.
12. Library and Home album covers look correct more often after updates.
13. If a new profile photo can’t be saved, your previous one is kept.
14. Android notifications show the correct app icon.
