## Newest reviews (16 of 172)

### 3/5 — Good. Lack’s ability to substitute alternate ingredients, or reorder when ingredients are frozen.

*2025-12-19, version 8.0.5*

Works well at what it does, but could use some flexibility.

### 4/5 — Shame this isn’t updated

*2025-09-13, version 8.0.5*

This program is a great idea. Instead of developing this and renewing the app, vitamix chose to take 2 steps back, dropping support for ascent and dropping Bluetooth on the new X series. Instead, they’re using buggy and price grabbing RDIF programs that need to be updated via BUYING a new container .

### 2/5 — Marginal at Best

*2024-12-25, version 8.0.5*

No matter how many times I select the correct blender model, it stays the 3500. Does not properly recognize the aero disk, calls it a dry container, so I cannot use any preprogrammed options. Vitamix may make solid blenders but clearly this app is an afterthought with no real effort to actually improve or use the technology advertised, and up charged for. Feels like a bait and switch.

### 2/5 — Español

*2024-01-28, version 8.0.5*

Falta versión en español

### 3/5 — Cool at first

*2023-08-01, version 8.0.5*

At first I like and thought it was a cool app. But I programmed the Siri thing to it, and it doesn’t run the programs as they should, meaning smoothies start full speed for example. Now it’s doing it all the time.

### 2/5 — Potential Not Realized

*2023-07-27, version 8.0.5*

App could be really good but is flawed. When I registered and then attempted to select my Vitamix Professional Series 750 blender, the next screen shown was to select my container, but it was blank with no options. I could not move forward; therefore, my blender was not added to my profile. Also annoying that a pop-up displayed EVERY time I favored a recipe to use Siri. I got it—enough!. Disappointing.

### 2/5 — Persistent bug causes iOS to crash

*2023-07-12, version 8.0.5*

App is generally good but there is a long-standing severe bug. When iOS pops up a notification reminder to open the app (this happens automatically upon turning on the blender when it connects to Bluetooth and would be helpful if not for the bug), if you select “open” the entire iOS will crash / kernel panic / black screen (not just the Vitamix app)

### 2/5 — Blender is amazing, app is a disappointment

*2023-06-24, version 8.0.5*

The app is very clumsy and every part of it feels like an afterthought. At first I thought I’d gotten the wrong one because it makes it seem like you’re supposed to have a Vitamix scale to use it. Setup is awkward and unclear. Once I had it connected, it became clear the app will only be useful when using the pitcher that came with my blender. The food processor offers only a custom program and when I put my aer disc pitcher on it detects as the 48 oz dry container, so none of the programs are applicable except for custom. As for custom, since it only lets you set a single speed on a timer as a one off, I see no value in using the app to do that. It’s easier to just do that on the A3500 itself. The fact that it actually has extra programs for the standard pitcher is the only thing getting it two stars instead of one.

### 1/5 — App design error

*2023-02-10, version 8.0.5*

There’s a glitch in the design of the app, where in you cannot see or press the “add to Siri” button on iPhone because you cannot scroll or see the entire layout of the program on the screen of the iPhone. It is only viewable / accessible on an iPad. It seems the app was designed for the iPad format and not fitted properly for the iPhone screen size.

### 3/5 — Lacking able to Create own recipes

*2023-01-28, version 8.0.5*

The almond milk recipe does not blend long enough. I wish I could create my own. Blend on 4 for 45 seconds, blend on 10 for 3 mins, blend on 1 for 30 seconds. I love you can have Siri send the clean recipe without opening the app… that is about the only one I use. Due to limitations

### 1/5 — Awful

*2022-12-03, version 8.0.5*

Just purchased the Ascent series 2500 and was told the app isn’t working for us because our phones are too updated to be compatible. This is ridiculous. Vitamin is a huge company and has been around forever. We really can’t do better than that??

### 1/5 — Bad UI

*2022-12-01, version 8.0.5*

The UI is jam packed and non intuitive.
The recipe portions are questionable.
The naming of each item is more artistic than practical and searching the name has been a hassle. I have to search by ingredient and get all matches rather than a specific dish/beverage name and no matches which makes sorting through time consuming. Good thing I can favorite…. Yet trying to find that is inconsistent.

This app is a repository of recipes. That’s all.

### 4/5 — App does not work

*2022-11-30, version 8.0.5*

Bought very expensive ( for me) Vitamix A2500i. Thinking I can use the app with this blender. Tried everything it is not working at all. If I knew earlier I could have bought E320. But I do not find anything wrong with blender. Blender is top of the range one it exactly what is in the box. I’m happy with blender. But not the app. Very disappointed.

### 2/5 — Self-Detect is worse than useless

*2022-11-24, version 8.0.5*

Self-Detect insists that my Aer Disk is actually a Dry Grains container, which means it refuses even the regular programs for the base container. Not much help offering to make flour out of the ingredients for whipped cream.

### 2/5 — Vitamixer

*2022-10-28, version 8.0.5*

I bought this mixer and was told it will work without the scale. I like the way the app works with my iPhone, but every time there is an update I have to delete the app and reinstall it. Today I have reinstalled the app twice and it still doesn’t allow me to connect access the connection to my iPhone because I do not have the scale. I would not buy this model of vita mixer again. The mixer works beautifully but this app is not allowing me to use the app without a scale, since the last update. This is awful service.

### 1/5 — App not working in Canada. Opened a ticket and days after no feedback.

*2022-09-29, version 8.0.5*

App not working in Canada. Opened a ticket and days after no feedback.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App no good in U.K

*2026-03-11, version 8.0.5*

Spend a fortune on a Vitamix A3500i blender, but the app is only for USA, why? Is the UK money not good enough for Vitamix, maybe you stop selling your machines over here !

### 1/5 — The app does not connect with european models

*2025-10-13, version 8.0.5*

I’ve just bought vitamix a3500i and when I connect to the app it says that unknown container placed on the blender. It seems that the app doesn’t have an option to select a3500i. You just buy an expensive device without connectivity to the app and you loose the many programs that are in the app. I am thinking to return the product.

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2025-01-25, version 8.0.5*

No point of connecting the blender just to set up the speed for a recipe if you have to walk to it to press start on the mixer.

### 1/5 — Can not support the latest model

*2024-09-20, version 8.0.5*

Why it is not supporting the latest model venturist pro? I returned my V1200 due to recall and bought the new Venturist Pro from Costco. Now I cannot even find the model the app and loose the blue tooth connection ability! this is a big draw back for me.

### 1/5 — Garbage extremely hard to figure out

*2024-04-23, version 8.0.5*

Was the app designed by a Chilean grade one student? Who is supposed to be a user of this garbage???

### 1/5 — Used to work

*2023-12-10, version 8.0.5*

I recently updated the app and since the update, my blender (V1200) won’t run programs. I get the little dot that indicates the blender is connected but the programs don’t load and don’t run. The troubleshooting tip on the app also doesn’t show on screen because there’s a problem there as well that causes the text to not wrap but go offscreen. Poor QA/regression testing before app release on this one. Wish I could revert to the older version!

### 1/5 — No add to Siri button

*2023-09-16, version 8.0.5*

There is no add to Siri button.

### 1/5 — App crashes

*2023-08-17, version 8.0.5*

Love my Vitamix but app consistently crashes or doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Not a lot of help

*2023-06-15, version 8.0.5*

Seems the company that makes the Perfect Scale is out of business and you can’t buy the scale. The big pitch on this was that you just place the blender container on the scale and the add your ingredients and it automatically calibrates , no pre measuring required. Therefore most of the recipes are by weight rather than volume making this more complicated than less.

### 1/5 — Misreads aer container

*2023-04-21, version 8.0.5*

Reads it as dry container, which is useless. This apparently has been an issue for a while

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great guidance

*2025-04-18, version 8.0.5*

Because of this app, I make great smoothies: nice mix of ingredients, good portion size, and simple to scale with a friend. Super easy user interface and easy to share recipes and create my own.

### 5/5 — Works well!

*2024-11-20, version 8.0.5*

Use the app with the scale and the blender for a seamless experience. Really enjoy my units. App is good. Would be nice if you could add your own recipes.

### 5/5 — Vitamix—the Cadillac of blenders

*2023-10-08, version 8.0.5*

I bought my Vitamix 4 years ago, when I was also able to buy the accompanying scale. The app, the blender, and the scale make creating masterpieces a joy!

### 5/5 — Enhanced my life for sure.

*2022-11-19, version 8.0.5*

I’m on whole food plant based diet. I use my Vitamix several times a day. I make red smoothies, green smoothies, hummus, guacamole, salsa, soups. This scale has made my life so much easier. I look forward to using it all the time. It definitely speeds up the preparing process for sure. I highly recommend it. I wouldn’t want to use my Vitamix without it. I will give it 10 stars if I could.

### 5/5 — Issue got fix

*2022-03-07, version 8.0.5*

Issue from previous message was fixed and I’m back to normal. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Outstanding customer suppoert

*2022-02-17, version 8.0.4*

Recently, I wrote a comment with the title „Improvement needed“. As it turned out, the one who needs improvement is myself. Unfortunately, I can‘t comment on my own review, so I decided ro apologize to MakeItPerfectly. I never touched the „blend“ button when viewing a recipe, because I thought, the app would then instantly start the blender itself. Customer support amswered very thoroughly, leaving not a single quesrion unanswered. That‘s amazing and I‘m very thankful. Now that I dare to push the „blend“-button, I can do all the things I lacked in my previous comment which turned out to be unfounded. Once again, many thanks for the help!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2022-01-16, version 8.0.3*

I absolutely live by this app. Perfect consistent results every time. Plus, easy to modify recipes to make them your own.

### 5/5 — Good 8.0.2 update

*2021-09-06, version 8.0.2*

The Blender button is back on the tab bar, so thanks for that. The Blender options also fit better on the screen than before. That’s really all I need, so I’m happy.

I noticed that turning on the blender pops up a window asking to switch to the app. I like it, some others might not. They might appreciate an option to disable that.

Original review for 8.0:
Why was Blender taken off the tab bar and hidden in the More tab? I have an A3300 and I just need to make smoothies and then run the cleaning mode afterwards.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2021-01-26, version 7.3.5*

Day 1: Paired easily to A2500. Easy to understand presets. Ran a clean cycle. Used for açaí, turned out great. Only used with 64oz blender.
Recipes look good. Nice to blend them from the app and add to shopping list.
No complaints!

### 5/5 — Great enhancement to the 2300 model

*2020-05-22, version 7.3.3*

Fantastic that the app connects to the blender and gives so many Programmed options. I don’t have the scales but was able to just connect the blender which is great.
