## What is VitaSum?

VitaSum helps you understand what you actually take every day. Scan supplement barcodes or search to build your stack, see vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients in one place, and get daily summaries that roll up across everything you use.
• Barcode scanning to add products quickly
• Nutrient breakdowns and totals across your full supplement stack
• Guidance when you’re approaching or above common upper limits—so you can adjust before problems add up
• Goals and daily views to stay consistent
• Optional shareable reports (including provider-friendly PDFs on higher tiers) for conversations with your clinician
Subscriptions (Consumer, Family, Professional) unlock different levels of tracking, household sharing, and reporting—see in-app for current plans and pricing.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.4 — 2026-08-29

• New Quick Start tour when you sign in — learn Shelf, peptides, daily logging, and doctor reports in under a minute
• Clear step-by-step tips for adding supplements (scan or search) and peptides
• Guidance on logging intake and sharing a clinical PDF with your provider
• Replay the tour anytime from Account or Help
• Tap + on My Shelf to add supplements — search by name or scan a barcode
• On Peptides, + opens a focused search (peptides & secretagogues) with “Add your own compound”
• Shared PDF reports now show which products contribute to each nutrient total
• Status labels are easier to read (e.g. “On target”, “Under target”) with color-coded rows
• Larger VitaSum logo on reports

### 1.4.3 — 2026-08-25

- Nutrient consistency table: top 10 by default, Show all for every nutrient logged in the last 30 days.
- New Compounds logged section (days logged only — no % RDA).
- Quick Log shows scheduled compounds only on days they’re due.
- New schedule options: specific weekdays and every-other-day.
- Dose history hints use Start date: [date] on shelf and Today.
- Suggest product photos from product detail for catalog review.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-08-19

- Only show scheduled compounds in Quick Log on days they are due, and add weekday plus every-other-day schedule options so users can set those days.
- Let users confirm nutrients at scan time and log label extracts until catalog approval.
- After barcode/search, product detail now requires a nutrient review before adding to shelf. If the list is missing or wrong, they can scan Supplement Facts, submit a correction, and use that data in their own totals until ops publishes it for everyone.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-10

• Report data issue on product detail (category + note)
• Serving save still personal; queues for catalog review when needed
• Missing product? Snap up to 4 clear label photos — we read the name, brand, serving, and nutrients so you can send it for review in seconds
• Report a data issue from any product page if something looks wrong
• Saving your serving size helps improve the catalog when the label serving is missing or different
• Track product requests under Account → Product requests
• Last taken comes from your dose logs.
• Started taking is stored on the peptide shelf record (started_taking_date). It’s set on the first log if empty, backfilled from existing logs, and editable so Aug 3 stays the real start even months later.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-08-02

Daily summary now converts product amounts into master RDA units before calculating RDA
New scanned products are stored already converted
If amount is 0 but DV exists, it estimates from RDA
Goals shows less than 1 instead of 0% for tiny non-zero averages
