## What is VЯitty Scanneя?

VЯitty Scanneя will scan any chosen object, creating image, skin, and depth files in a selected folder.  This uses the camera LIDAR only found on specific models of iPhone and iPad.

This scanned capture may be used to create 3D models(USDZ files) using VЯitty Modeleя on the App Store.

Only operates on iPad Pro and iPhone Pro.

### 4.0 — 2025-09-10

Now there are two methods of scanning a Model

1) Mount iPhone/iPad on a stationary tripod.  Place the Model on a turn table.  As the Model moves, capture scans.

2) Move the iPhone/iPad around the Model.  As you move, capture scans.

Improvements to online documentation and user interface.

Computed 3D models are processed immediately at the end of scanning and are viewable as 3D Model with gesture controls, or as Augmented Reality (AR) showing the 3D model in the current view of the camera.

For higher resolution 3D models, move the scan folder from your iPhone/iPad to Mac OS and use VRitty Modeler app.   No additional scanning is required.  The same original scan files will produce higher quality 3D models on Mac OS.

Collect and share your 3D models on the VRitty cloud with the free VRitty Viewer app and a free VRitty account.

Combine 3D models of components for exploded isometric views of an assembly using VRitty Cader app.
