The VIUSU app has been around for years and has been offering the same services and communications to students - who use it way more than this app. It’s frustrating to see that the University is creating more silos by not engaging and collaborating with the services that already exist through the Students’ Union. I would like to see the University spend their money more responsibly. Students need more attainable resources such as greater access to Open Education Resources and technology rentals (laptop loans available for more than 3 days). This app eliminates the need to use a combination of Facebook, Instagram and EventBrite for events and connections.
