When it works, it’s fast, intuitive, and easy to use. Unfortunately, there are several major problems that have existed for years and still haven’t been fixed. First, the app will randomly mute every clip in a project without any input from me. I’m not talking about a few clips—I’m talking about projects with hundreds of edited segments. Suddenly every clip is muted, and I have to manually go through and unmute each one and readjust the volume. This is incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable in a paid editing app. Second, I’ve lost entire projects after spending hours editing. The app freezes or crashes, and all of that work is gone. There is nothing worse than investing hours into a video only to discover you have to start over from scratch. Third, the crop feature severely degrades video quality. Any time I need to crop footage, I have to use a completely different editing app, export it in HD, and then import it back into VivaVideo. A basic crop function should not destroy the resolution of the footage. Another major issue is the complete lack of customer support. When problems like these occur, there is no meaningful way to get help or receive updates on whether bugs are being addressed. For a paid app with a long history and a large user base, the absence of responsive customer support is extremely disappointing. I genuinely want to give this app five stars because I like the editing interface and have remained a loyal user for seven years. But after all this time, these issues still exist. VivaVideo has the potential to be one of the best mobile video editors available if the developers would focus on fixing these long-standing reliability and quality problems instead of adding more features. Please fix the muting bug, improve project stability, stop reducing video quality when cropping, and provide real customer support. Long-time users deserve better. Had to adjust my review again to one star from two now because I can’t export anything. You keep telling me I don’t have a VIP membership when I do and I have had for eight years. So intuitive and so much fun but now they care so much about AI and all of their new little creations trying to keep up with other editing apps that they are neglecting their basic features. My animation won’t work. The entire app keeps cutting out over and over. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app. I have made sure to update it. My phone is updated. No other apps are having problems. It’s Viva videos neglect of their product that they owe it all to for their success. That’s what happens when greed takes the lead. Greed takes the lead and you start to bleed. So sad that I will have to go to CapCut after so many years with VivaVideo. Today when I was almost finished editing, every single feature in the timeline stopped working. All the indicators are there but not a single one works. My phone is still in great condition and as I said everything is updated. What a sad story. It’s such a bad app at this point that even support it just brings you to a page that advertises how “great” they are.
